If You need to relax and rest in peace, Villa Kiva is the best place! Gabriela is the best manager and very hospitalable host. Rooms in bungalows are just perfect, and just a few steps from the beach. The restaurant with amazing manu. Everything tastes great! I would like to be back as soon as possible. One of my best... Comfortable boutique hotel on the beach on Zanzibar. It was a good place to relax and unwinde after enjoying a week of photo safari on the mainland. We appreciated having air conditioning as it was very hot and humid on the island. The room was spacious and very functional for our stay. Beautiful sandy beach, however not very swimmer friendly... Nice hotel with small bungalows. Not really cheap but worth the money! Food was good but not the best we had during our stay in Tansania. A bit far from city, so you have to take a taxi. But best place to relax!! 2 tiny cats: very cute! Beach is nice but not easy to swim. A lot of sea... More

I have just returned from a two weeks' vacation we spent at villa kiva. It was our first trip to Africa, and it felt like a journey to some place where time stood still. We had a bungalow facing the sea(no 7),and I must say we were delighted with the attention they pay to the rooms' cleanliness. The housekeeping comes in... More

This was a four day treat to myself in the middle of a three week vacation. The location, grounds, rooms and staff were heavenly. I had a Sea View half board room, that was fantastic. The room was beautifully decorated, the bathroom came with handmade soaps and shampoo from a local women's cooperative in town. The resort was peaceful and... More

We stayed only for one night but truly enjoyed our time at this place. We stayed at a room facing the ocean. The room was very spacious, very clean, and well decorated. The toilet and bathroom was also very clean and spacious. It also has a spacious veranda facing the ocean. The beach in front of the property is beautiful.... More

Our cottage was very nice; the rooms were lovely and we were greeted with a bed covered in flower-petals! The main lodge had a lovely verandah with tea and cake available, which was a nice touch. However, Manager/owner did smoke on the verandah amongst guests, which some may find a bit irritating. Food was solid but not spectacular and the... More

Great location- beautiful, white sandy beach with natural pool right out front of the hotel. The grounds were very nice and well maintained. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Food was pretty good although fairly pricey when there's a good place down the beach (turn left when leaving hotel to the beach, called Seles Bungalows) that offers a variety... More

We stayed here for four nights in Sept. This hotel is on a very low key beach, yet is very easy to organize activities. The property is quiet and charming. Food is good, better than many larger lodges. Dinner is always served with several kinds of freshly baked bread. Local fish dishes are delicious. We had very tasty seafood risotto... More
