This is a very small hotel hidden in the vegetation. Through a short path you can access the beautiful long and white beach with palms and just a few locals on bike or kids playing. The sea has beautiful color but with seaweeds at the time we were there. It's a quiet place that really feels authentic. Hotel rooms are... More

Aaaaah Sele's... I've stayed here on two seperate occasions during two seperate trips to Zanzibar. Where to start? Matemwe beach... heaven on earth. You can wake up in yoru room, take your pillow to the beach and continue sleeping on the beach beds as the sunslowly rises... No crowds. A few locals on bikes a few random tourists. A water... More

Seles Bungalows is really a great place for those on a budget, although if you are coming here on holiday the lack of a pool will hurt when the tide is out. Theoretically it is a great place, rooms are nice with A/C (although we could't run ours all the time due to condensation build up) and the sort of... More

At Seles Bungalows we try to give our customers the best beach experience possible and pride ourselves in accommodating guest requests where ever possible. We added a TV to our public bar and restaurant area during the course of the World Cup and have found guests very much appreciate the opportunity to keep up with sporting and news events whilst... Seles Bungalows is a terrific place to stay while spending time at the beautiful Matemwe beach. The food is incredible and the staff is very friendly. They don’t have wifi, but you can go to the beach club 2 minutes down the beach and use it for free. We stayed in the smaller, $70/night room and thought it was very... More

Stayed at Seles for 2 nights with friends - we booked last minute hoping to find wind on the coast no wind :(- and had first a twin (2 x double beds) with beautiful breezes, then in a double room with private bathroom and fan x 2. All bathrooms have soap, towels, air freshener and are very clean. The bar... More

I stayed here for 3 nights having moved from Nyota Bungalows (not to be recommended). Seles was a breath of fresh air - the rooms are very clean and cleaned on a daily basis. I had a room at the back of the complex, which was fine, if not a bit hot - as there are no sea breezes. Breakfast... More

Seles is a great place to stay! The owners and staff are very friendly and make you feel like part of the family. The rooms are a great size and very close to the beach. We stayed in an upstairs room which had a great sea breeze coming through. Fantastic beach and the bar and restaurant are also just perfect!... More

We had a perfect stay on Sele's for three nights. The other places we tried on Zanzibar could not live up to the experience we had there. Funny and personal staff, simple but tasty food, good beach, cozy bar/dining area and great atmosphere.

Sele's is a fantastic little place. Beautifully put together, well run, delicious food, polite, friendly and helpful staff. We spent 3 nights there and wished we had booked more. Janet (English/South African) and Sele really know what they are doing and leave guests struggling to express their gratitute for the service they recieve. Best rooms are upstairs as you get... More
