Everything about the Ras Nungwi is luxurious from the rooms to the open-air dining and relaxation areas. The beach is good, albeit not so spectacular as on the West Coast, service first class and food is excellent. However, my wife and I had come from Echo Beach on the West coast, which touts itself as a pleasant resort hotel without... More

We stayed at Ras Nungwi over Xmas and New Year 09/10. My husband and I went with friends and although I've never completed a review before I just thought a few words about the hote may be useful for others thinking of staying here. We do long haul every xmas and new year so have a pretty wide experience that... More

It's been 5 months since we were there for our honey moon. The hotel is on a very good location, white soft sand and the clearest ocean water I have experienced so far. It has a private beach, so no beach boys to hustle you. They have bug spray in the rooms but it was not necessary since we did... More

We just returned from a 7 night honeymoon at Ras Nungwi and it was the ultimate in pampered relaxation and indulgence. The location is beautiful with amazing clear blue seas and uninterrupted sunshine. The service is very attentive, genuinely friendly and unimposing and it seems like everything has been thought of before you can ask for it. There are always... More

Ras Nungwi is a wonderful place. A beautiful setting, right on the beach with white sand and turquiose water. We were looked after exceptionally well by the always attentive staff. Wonderful food served in a stunning dining room overlooking the pool and onto the beach. Diving and snorkling offered by the hotel's on site dive centre - a trip to... More

We wanted to spend 4 nights relaxing by the beach and indeed the hotel was perfect for that. It is beautifully designed with lovely bedrooms and an elegant beach with a gorgeous sea. However we were very disappointed by the service due to the staff not understanding our requests or being excessively slow in delivering them. The other issue is... More

I stayed here prior to meeting my husband and daughter after their Kilamanjaro trek, before we all went on safari...I say this because most people do just the opposite - go on safari then come here, which makes sense because this resort strives to be very relaxing. It was exactly what I wanted - peaceful, calming, beautiful. Traveling alone, I... More

We spent 3 nights here after a safari. It was paradise. A beautiful hotel set among lush gardens and the most turquoise water I've ever seen. We stayed in a superior chalet which was tastefully decorated with a huge bed and a beautiful ocean view. It was literally a 30 second walk from our door to the beach. The beach... More

After a week safari and a Kilimanjaro climb we were looking for the perfect place to relax. Everything about the Ras Nungwi is luxurious from the beachfront deluxe rooms to the open air dining and relaxation areas. The beach is spectacular, service first class and food out of this world. With a daliy changing menu full of freshly caught fish... More

We stayed here for 5 nights after our safari, and had an amazing time. Rath couldn't have been nicer, he was very helpful and friendly, and always made sure I (as a vegetarian) was happy with what veggie dishes were available. Our room was near the beach front, it was clean and spacious, with a nice bathroom, and lovely terrace... More
