This is a lovely hotel. They take terrific care of all of their guests. They are beyond eager to please. We don't do 'relax' real well so should have stayed only 3 or 4 nights instead of 5 or 6 as there's not a whole lot to do there. Great food, drink and spa services. Regarding location - you need... I had the pleasure to stay at this resort from October 2-6, 2014 in Chalet 5. The grounds of this resort were immaculate and I can't say enough about how friendly and helpful the staff were. One example of the amazing service was when my friend mentioned he had forgotten to bring a pair of sandals. The Manager Rath offered... More

My husband and I spent our honeymoon in Tanzania and finished our trip with three days at the Ras Nungwi. Firstly, I have to thank Jennifer at Imagine Africa for the recommendation. I had been to Nungwi before and wanted a different, more romantic ambiance and she certainly found it. Our chalet was beautiful - fresh flowers every day and... More

The hotel is in the north of the island one hour drive from the airport and that is the worst thing I can say about the hotel :) The hotel is so cozy and almost family like. The style is a mix of Zanzibar and colonial style. It is very private and placed on the unspoiled part of the island,... More

The property itself is fantastic, very well appointed, extremely comfortable with super helpful staff. My only issue with the hotel is that it's on the east side of Nungwi, which means there's no sunset, and can be very windy. The other issue is that while it has a fantastic view of the ocean, which is just pristine, there really isn't... More

After roughing it out in the wild for almost 2 weeks, Ras Nungwi was such a blissful experience. It was like being in our own little world because it seems like everything was available in the resort. We could enjoy the beautiful view from the inside and outside of our room. The room has the largest bed I have ever... More

staff is very friendly, they found out it was my birthday and had a special dinner set up for me on the beach. They do anything you need. Area I'd secluded away from town so more private, but close enough to walk if you want. Diving is excellent. I will be back!!

This was our last stop on a two week trip to Africa. It is a tough island to get to and bit of a drive to the hotel (that was an adventure in itself, even with a private driver arranged) - but once we arrived we didn't leave. The color of the water was an amazing blue (before this, I've... More

Our family spent 5 days at Ras Nungwi over the 2014 Christmas holiday. The hotel is small, the setting is intimate, and the service is impeccable. It is located a short walk down the beach from the village of Nungwi, and fronts a delightful beach and coral atoll. We took advantage of the on-premise dive shop to book a 6... More

After spending several days in a jeep searching for animals, this boutique hotel was the perfect place to spend four nights. The manager, Rath Wilson, and the service were excellent. There were many places to rest, read or just enjoy the Indian Ocean view. Some members of the family went snorkeling and diving from a boat because the water is... More
