I d like first to agree with a recent comment from a lady mentionning that James seems to be a charming and a predator, when I arrived at the guesthouse he started straight away to flirt with me, wanted absolutely to see me swimming or at least in my swimming suit and offered me the bla bla to make me... James' Guest House seems to isn't recommended by the locals. We were trying to get directions to the place (even if it's signs that points out the direction), but everyone told us that it's not a good place to stay. My guess is that they doesn't get anything from the hostel by bringing us there. This place is cheap, clean,... More

I liked everything about James Guest house. Good Location, great people, cheapest place in nungwi to live, nice breakfast in morning. The beach is excellent, one of the best in the world. Will be back here very soon..

We stayed at James Guest House for 2 nights. We stayed at this place because everything else was sold out. Originally we had booked the place for 4 nights, but after two days we had had enough. James Guest house is a hostel and so we didn’t have high expectations (we have studied/lived in several African countries and we know... More

We booked this hotel in December 2012 for a family holiday. The Hotel owner demanded more money than the mentioned price in their webpage, but we agreed to pay more as all the other hotels were booked. We were told to pay in advance for the whole 5 nights when we reach there. The rooms were dark and full of... More

We just stayed for two nights in this place and it's by far the worst hostel I've ever been to abroad (and I've traveled a lot). The owner is rude and absolutely unpleasant. He charged us the money upon arrival, wasn't avilable for our (many) complaints, didn't supply what he promised us (free wi-fi) and treated us like a liability.... More

I stayed at James' Guesthouse for six nights. I was a little anxious before I arrived because of the low price and the reviews I had seen about other places in Nungwi -the cheapest but most decent I could find. I was nicely surprised by how clean, new and nice the rooms were. There was a little issue with the room... More

We travelled in a group after a 5 week tour of Africa and this was the final leg, we found this place after a muffled Skype call and checked in a few days later. 7 people for 3 days. We were overcharged but didnt mind too much because of the short notice. After 1 night, I decided to leave my... More
