Visited as a solo traveller from July 27 to July 29.Treated extremely well. From the time of my arrival at the gate to my departure was exceptional. The room was large with a well appointed en- suite bathroom with a bath tub and shower. It was the middle of winter but my room was quite warm with the heater that staff... More

We were very fortunate for our first experience in the African bush to be at Ekuthuleni Lodge. It was a very short visit, only 3 days, added to a business trip to Johannesburg, but everything about the experience was first rate (including the price: it's expensive). The staff were very friendly and accommodating, meals were varied, interesting and excellent and... More

Thank you so much for your feedback. The fact that you still remember the lodge, staff and overall experience so well after so many years means that they left a lasting impression. Which is the way it should be. Snakes tend to make sure you never forget them. They have a habit of doing that. Thank you for your feedback... More

To say that this lodge is a 5* experience is in my mind a bit of an understatement. The beautiful setting, the warm hospitality, the excellent food, and educational game drive makes for a truly remarkable experience. On arrival, the entire staff meets you at the entrance of the lodge to welcome you and introduce themselves. This warm service continues... More

We recently visited Ekuthuleni with my parents prior to their return to the US. The Welgevonden reserve is absolutely beautiful ... perhaps some of the most beautiful terrain we have been to during our 2 years in SA. The lodge was also stunning ... great setting and fantastic, attentive staff. Both Vivian, the host/manager, and Jonas, the ranger, were friendly,... More

Many thanks for you feedback and compliments on the management and staff. I have personally had the pleasure of sampling Steven's cooking skills and I must agree with you. Jonas has been with us for many, many years and certainly always tries his hardest. I am sorry to hear that you didn't have a great game viewing experience. Whilst it... More

A quick 2.5 hours from OR Thambo and you will find the gates to peace on earth. Ekutuleni means "place of peace" and never has a more appropriate name been given to a lodge. Jonas, will collect you at the gate. his sense of humour and knowledge of the bush and the animals living in the Welgevonden Reserve (where you... More

My girlfriend and I visited over the Easter weekend and had a fantastic time. The food was delicious and Jonas (the game ranger) was extremely knowledgeable.
