My husband and I stayed at Shibula for three nights over Christmas 2011. We were in cottage #1, which was quite private and comfortable. Our outdoor jacuzzi was not working, but otherwise we were very happy with the room. We thought the food was very tasty; each evening we were given two entree choices, plus many delicious side dishes. Entrees... More

All the staff was very helpful and provided a good service, especially Tomas the ranger, He gave us a game drive that was very ,very interesting. Lunch was a very poor and simple buffet.... More

We stayed at Shibula Lodge for one night over the weekend. The service was excellent from the moment we arrived and we wished that our stay was for longer. Our room (6 & 7) comprised of two bedrooms with a lounge area and our own pool, which was more than spacious! Breakfast, lunch and dinner were included and the food... More

The thing that really made this such a great experience was the incredible friendliness and professionalism of the lodge managers (Carl and Suzette, at the time I was there). I stayed for six days - longer than the typical stay... More

I was in South Africa for the weekend between business needs. My colleague from Johannesburg was able to line us up for a Saturday arrival and Sunday departure from Shibula. We had a fantastic experience, from the first meeting with our guide to the lodge at the front gate of Welgevonden Game Reserve...to the staff at the lodge. The private... More

When you want to stay away from the bigger lodges and enjoy a more private game experiece Shibula is a great place to stay. Shibula is only holding 8 suites for maximum 16 people. The new management has created a great private athmosphere to enjoy the wildlife. Each suite is different and to your comfort. Some have a Jucuzzi or... More
