After the cell i stayed in in Rich, and the extremely uncomfortable bus journey, landing up at Hotel des Cedres was sheer luxuary!! The room was one of four en suites, very basic with intermittant hot water, but warm enough to clean ones self, and a comfortable bed with plenty of blankets. The staff were helpful and spoke french and... More

Travelling in April, we stayed here for our first night in Azrou because of the threat of snow in the mountains. Clean sheets but rather damp beds and no heating or hot water to speak of (one slightly warm shower out of all the four ensuite rooms, used by all five of us!) so was a bit of a trial.... More

This hotel was built in 1925 and probably hasn't been updated since Morocco gained independence. The rooms are large but shabby. We had a room at the back with its own balcony and a shared loo and shower down the corridor (showers are an extra 10 dirham). Reasonably clean and everything sort of works. We had enough glaring lightbulbs to... More

Cedres is an excellent bargain with a nice cafe out front. It isn't a particularly nice hotel, but you get more than you pay for, though you pay very little in the first place. Everybody we dealt with is very friendly. It may have been a little rough around the edges, but it was pretty clean and functional.

I booked two nights at this hotel by phone from the UK. When we arrived we found that our reservation had been lost and the implication was that it was our fault. Eventually the staff admitted that they had lost the reservation and offered us other (non ensuite) rooms. The rooms both had balconies, one facing back away from the... More

We arrived in Azrou after an early snow blocked our planned route, knowing that this hotel wasn't fancy but supposedly had heat. That translated to a register that was turned on at 1900 and perhaps got to lukewarm before being turned off sometime in the night. The room was freezing, everything reeked of smoke, there was no breakfast available, and... More

The institutional interior and the harder old beds of this hotel reminds me of a college dorm. But the location is perfect, and every room seems to come with a huge (shared) balcony overlooking the town square. Prepare to be awoken early for the call to prayer (esp. if you're visiting during Ramadan), and don't expect luxury for this price.... More

I took my 16 month old daughter to azrou and it was a fantastic place so friendly, my daughter was kissed more times in 9 days than in her 16 month live. the hotel was very friendly, as a hostel and cheap. It wasent for me so I asked Marroco unexplored to help me, and went camping in the forest... More

We paid around 150 Dh for a double with bathroom (rooms with shared bathrooms were even cheaper). The hotel is located near a small square with several cafés around it. The rooms are really old and simple, but reasonably clean. They also had central heating, which can be important in December. What disturbed me somewhat was the old mattress that... More

Single rooms with shared facilities in the corridor are just 85dh, though I normally go for one of the ensuite double rooms overlooking the square which are 145dh. Furniture and fittings are ancient, but that's what you get with the price. One word of warning--for some reason many of the Azrou hotels place a rubber sheet on top of the... More
