My husband daughter and I only had one night at Sandai, but wish we had planned for a longer stay. We were the only guests, had a lovely cottage and had our meals with Petra, which made it even more special. Peaceful, beautiful, nice staff and great dogs.

My partner and I went to Sandai for a weekend away from Nairobi. It was incredibly calm, peaceful and beautiful. We stayed in the Zawadi self-catering cottage (but arranged dinner at the lodge one night - convenient to have both options). We woke up each morning with a perfect view of the peaks of Mt Kenya just outside our window.... More

Every few years I spend several weeks in Nyeri and always try to spend a week-end or 2 at Sandai. Being there is perfect bliss. I always stay in one of the original rooms and spend hours sitting on my little porch enjoying the peace and beauty and, in the mornings, drinking coffee and nibbling on biscuits. The food is... We lived in Kenya and loved this place. Petra is amazing and the place is amazing. Her advice is truly valuable and she knows where and when to be here or there. Although we knew what we wanted to do we listened and learned a lot from her years of living there. The food and accommodations were amazing. Her son... More

We stayed here 2 nights. It was like you was family to them. Eating all together that's what you don't expect but was so nice. The lunch was not what I like so they made me a separate one and asked me what I wanted at the dinner and that for both days. So friendly. When we came home from... More

Relax, enjoy and feel at home! I can highly recommand an excursion to Solio to watch both Black and White Rhino in an amazing landscape. Experience a guided horseback safari meeting Zebras, giraffes and antelopes. Don't forget to have a look in the gift shop.

I've been here twice, and both times Petra has simply outdone herself with hospitality. She goes above and beyond to make sure that you feel absolutely at home in the lodge, providing massive quantities of treats, caffeinated beverages, toys, games, and nature guides in English and German. The rooms are very private and utterly gorgeous. I stayed in the self-catered... More

We went twice at Sandai and we loved it! We keep talking about it to all our friends and they are as enthusiastic as us after they went there. Petra is such a wonderful lady and her farm is a paradise: organic garden, bird watching, etc. The breakfast is unforgettable. You can seat on big couches in the living room... More

I stayed two nights at Sandai with my parents, wife and four year old son. We had an excellent time, and felt very much at home. We chose the full board option and enjoyed it very much. Very good food, real home cooking, no fancy stuff, but good choice and selection. Rooms were well thought out, enough room, good bathroom,... More
