We had one night at the Fairway as we headed south down South Island towards Queenstown and selected Wanaka as a stopping off point to break the journey. The drive through the Haast Pass into Wanaka is stunning and we were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded into a lovely suite at the Fairway on our arrival. The motel facilities are... more

A nice little place, made even more enjoyable by the friendly proprietor. Parking is a bit tight, but adequate. Some very nice drives along the lakes nearby. This is probably the best point to drive out to Franz Joseph Glacier and certainly the accommodation at Fairway is nice enough to extend the stay for several days to take in some... more

This motel was immacuately clean..... We had a 2 bedroom apartment it was on 2 levels, bedrooms upstairs and great amenities downstairs with a dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. Could not fault this accommodation it was spotless and very spacious. The location is slightly out of the main town area but I'm sure within walking distance. The guys on reception... more

An immaculately presented motel,very,very clean a pleasure to stay there.The managers are wonderful and so helpful.We had a room with a spa bath after a week in a campervan it was executive standard and so clean,it appeared new! 5 or 600 metres into the centre plenty of parking space.After 30 years travelling this rates highly in the motel category probably... more
