River Run was one of the nicest places we stayed during a 6 week trip across NZ. It represents laid back luxury that doesn't try too hard to impress (and thus makes one feel relaxed and comfortable) and yet it still manages to tick all the right boxes. We stayed only one night here but it was wonderful our hosts were delightful, the room was lovely with a porch overlooking the hillsides. The dinner was first rate with presentation, quality and service. I think I would stay here rather than in Queenstown on our next trip and still be able to easily drive to the places we want... more

My husband and I stayed at Riverrun while on our honeymoon in New Zealand. The structure and surrounding property are beautiful. Our hosts mapped out hiking routes for us and my husband and I spent an afternoon exploring the trails, one of which led down to a beautiful rushing river.
