This place is insanely expensive. The service is top notch. The food is top notch. I really liked dining with other guests. The main dining/living area is absolutely stunning. The best thing about Whare Key Lodge is the view that guests enjoy of Lake Wanaka and the surrounding mountains. There is no dispute that this view is stunning, but it does not make up for some of the deficiencies in this property. Beatiful spot, above lake Wanaka, with huge walls of glass and views of the lake from every room. Fabulous food, and excellent personalized service. Rooms were nice, if not outstanding. more
