We stayed here as 2 couples on a road trip and found it to be an ideal spot within 5 minutes' walk to the lake. The lodge is tucked away in a quiet corner, with no traffic noise, so ideal for a restful night's sleep. Rooms were a little on the small side, but there is a large guest lounge... More

Only a short walk from town but in a quiet location so we slept very well for the 2 nights we stayed. The manager was friendly and helpful and nothing was too difficult. The room itself was comfortable and very clean and the spring water fountain outside the front door was a nice bonus, filled my water bottles every day... More

Very comfortable and convenient for walking into town. Nice community room for TV, etc with balcony. Nothing to fault it but seemed a little sterile. A little difficult to find as there are 2 sections to Tenby Street.

The area around Wanaka features small towns and there are more tourists than they can easily accommodate. It's no surprise therefore that small motels have popped up to meet the demand. The Lake Wanaka Lodgeswas a good basic base for a visit to the region. A nice Japanese couple welcomed us and showed us to our room, and helped us... More

We stayed two nights at the Lake Wanaka lodge. Both nights my husband enjoyed soaking outside in the hot tub for half an hour. We could easily walk down to the restaurants and back for meals at night. The room was very clean and well appointed and the lodge has a coin operated laundry - bonus when you are travelling.... In a 17 day self drive tour of NZ, Wanaka was my favorite stop and the Lake Wanaka Lodge the best accommodation. Some towns I paid much more, yet this hotel was the most glamourous and hospitable. I was at fault in making a mistake about our booking (which I'd rather not explain), but it was a whopper and I... More

Really enjoyed our stay in this quiet, modern B&B. The Japanese breakfast (extra $ but absolutely delicious) and outdoor spa in the garden are a huge plus. The manager and staff are extremely friendly. Perfect place to relax after a day enjoying beautiful Wanaka!

In the busiest dates of the summer season, it was hard to find accommodation that was not expensive and overpriced. Lake wanaka Lodge was very reasonably priced. For that the lodge is set back in a suburban street a short walk from the shoreline and main shops but we didn't mind that at all. The room we had was adequate... More

We stayed one night at Lake Wanaka Lodge. There were no other guests during that night, so it felt like the entire lodge was all for us. The check in was efficient, the staff was friendly and the free wifi was only available in the lounge room. The view from the room was a beautiful garden with changing colour leaves... More
