We picked this B&B as it was around half way on our journey from Te Anau to Paua Bay & we were so glad we did. Korey & Anita were very attentive & were kind enough to recommend a great restaurant for dinner. The breakfast was excellent. Our room was extremely comfortable & we were pleased with the bench arrangement... More

Thanks for your kind words about our Lodge. We are so glad that you were so comfortable in the rooms. Even though the large luggage areas are no longer fashionable in many hotels we think that having them in our rooms is great as it gives people a space for luggage so they don't have to bend to access it.... Thanks for choosing us on your Alps to Ocean trip! Where ever we can we like to place couples travelling together in the rooms with the nice outdoor area right outside the rooms. On a warm night this is great place to relax, unwind and have a few drinks. More

We stayed 3 nights in April in this B&B, which was probably where we felt the most welcome of all places we have stayed during our 4 weeks trip on the South Island. It is the people that made the difference :Korey and Anita and their kids made us feel true guests and did so for all those that were... More

Well situated for the Mt Cook region. We stayed 2 nights and just loved this B&B. Young and energetic, Korey and Anita did a wonderful job of making us feel at home. The cooked breakfasts were excellent with lots of choices of cold fruit and cereals. Good local restaurants for dinner too.

I was a little concerned when I looked up the lodge on Google Earth, but I needn't have worried as everything about it was first class and in particular, the hosts. In additional to first class accommodation, all the guests were invited to an informal get-together in the early evening and provided with a free drink. I would unreservedly recommend... More

We stayed here for two nights in January on the way from Christchurch to Te Anau and were made very welcome by Korey and Anita (not to mention Taffy, the cat). Nice comfortable B & B, good location for trip to Mt Cook (which was actually visible!). Pre dinner drinks with hosts and other guests and good information about local... More

Thank you for your review. Taffy is indeed a most welcoming cat and thrives on the attention he receives from the guests. We very much enjoy sharing out beautiful slice of New Zealand with our guests and want to be sure that you know of all the things that you can do here. Drinks are our favorite time of the... More

Korey and Anita run a spectacular B & B. The room and furnishings were impeccable - and the company was enjoyable. We really enjoyed meeting the hosts and the other guests for a drink before dinner - and we loved the great referrals, information, and tips on where to go. The breakfast was "yummy and well-made" - those are my... More

We stayed one night here on our way from Christchurch to Queenstown. Perfect spot on the way and an easy 45 minute drive to Mt Cook. Room was clean and spacious. Not fancy but fine. Korey and Anita are lovely welcoming hosts. They offered a free drink around 6:15pm and a very good hot breakfast in the morning. Just around... More

Very friendly host, and a good B&B. Room was spacious, bathroom was huge, and our hosts were very informative about where we could go for dinner in town. Twizel is a small town, so the options were limited, but our hosts gave us a thorough run through of all the available options. The big plus for us though was Tuffy,... More

Yes, the cat is not allowed in the rooms! We are very careful to ensure that he does not go into the guest rooms, as we like to make sure that people with a cat allergy are comfortable here. As much as Taffy loves the guests, we are never offended if asked to keep him outside during drinks. However for... More

Thanks for your review. We love to have guests who are doing motorcycle tours stay with us as it is a great chance for us to invite my Mum and Dad over for evening drinks and for them to share their knowledge about motorcycle touring in the south of New Zealand. Twizel is not just for bicycling! More
