We really enjoyed our stay in the Aoraki Lodge. Anita and Korey make you feel welcome from the first moment on, and are very helpful in planning local activities, or providing restarant recommendations. All rooms have separate access from the house, in a beautifully kept garden. The room was very comfortable, with a well equipped tea tray. Their breakfast is... More

A 'standard' NZ style hotel room in a very special location, right in middle of town, in a walled private garden, with plenty of space to relax and kick back. Sharing an early evening beer with the hosts was fun and breakfast was delicious and well made. These guys put obvious thought into making their place what it is and... More

Great rooms with separate access from the rest of the house, super friendly atmosphere and a lovely homemade breakfast! Set in a beautiful garden setting, walking distance to shops and restaurants! There is also a bar for a few quiet drinks!

We choose to stay here for two nights as it was in a great position for us to visit Mt Cook. What a great decision it was as it has to be our favourite place so far. Our room was great and overlooking the garden. The bathroom was faultless, the shower so big. We were made to feel so welcome... More

We picked this B&B as it was around half way on our journey from Te Anau to Paua Bay & we were so glad we did. Korey & Anita were very attentive & were kind enough to recommend a great restaurant for dinner. The breakfast was excellent. Our room was extremely comfortable & we were pleased with the bench arrangement... More

Thanks for your kind words about our Lodge. We are so glad that you were so comfortable in the rooms. Even though the large luggage areas are no longer fashionable in many hotels we think that having them in our rooms is great as it gives people a space for luggage so they don't have to bend to access it.... Thanks for choosing us on your Alps to Ocean trip! Where ever we can we like to place couples travelling together in the rooms with the nice outdoor area right outside the rooms. On a warm night this is great place to relax, unwind and have a few drinks. More

We stayed 3 nights in April in this B&B, which was probably where we felt the most welcome of all places we have stayed during our 4 weeks trip on the South Island. It is the people that made the difference :Korey and Anita and their kids made us feel true guests and did so for all those that were... More

Well situated for the Mt Cook region. We stayed 2 nights and just loved this B&B. Young and energetic, Korey and Anita did a wonderful job of making us feel at home. The cooked breakfasts were excellent with lots of choices of cold fruit and cereals. Good local restaurants for dinner too.

I was a little concerned when I looked up the lodge on Google Earth, but I needn't have worried as everything about it was first class and in particular, the hosts. In additional to first class accommodation, all the guests were invited to an informal get-together in the early evening and provided with a free drink. I would unreservedly recommend... More
