We were told about this spot by a NZ travel agent. We were so grateful that she recommended it. We spent a night during our 1 week honeymoon. Wish we could have spent more time. Hope to return for skiing. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating. The views... Spectacular, stunning... Compares to views from travels in Switzerland. It takes... More

We found this place by accident and have since been back again taking friends with us. The location is stunning and well worth viewing with a drink in hand in the outdoor spa at the end of a days skiing. The food is equally good with 3 course high quality dinners and full brekky. We LOVED that you get seated... More

This hotel is in a really great secluded location on the edge of the lake with wonderful views. Rooms were comfortable, lovely hot showers and a great communal lounge / TV area. Food was excellent (evening meal and breakfast). The hotel is family run and nothing is too much trouble. Wifi available and reasonably priced. More

I stayed in the cheap rooms here. The wind rattled a can or something outside the window which kept me awake. I was also very cold because there was single glazed windows so there was a very cold breeze travelling through the room. There was also no lock on the bathroom door which was annoying, and 2/3 people slipped over... More

Situated 20 minutes below the Ohau Ski Field on the shores of Lake Ohau, this is the perfect place for a ski holiday: Even if you don't ski! Breakfasts are great and the inclusive dinner option (chef's choice) never disappoints. There are two external spas with views of the lake and Ben Ohau. The accommodation ranges from campsite through backpackers... More

This is a comfy 70s ski lodge with a great living room and bar atmosphere. Really great staff. Fabulous 5 Star restaurant quality food included in our room rate. Sadly our room wasn't as good as some with the bed a little lumpy and pushed against the wall. Suggest you check out the newly built wing which has great hotel... More

WOW!! The location of the lodge was absolutely stunning. The mountains and the lake were unlike anything I've ever seen. The lodge was good and very relaxing. This place is definitely worth the stay. More

We stayed here during the summer season so the ski lodge was very quiet. But it is in an amazing location and the rooms are clean and comfortable. There was a huge storm while we there, and in spite of a power cut the staff still ensured that we had a good breakfast before leaving. The outdoor out tubs are... More

This is not my first visit to this wonderful lodge and was delighted to return for two friends birthday weekend. the lodge was full yet our group had plenty of our own space. The food was first class considering the remoteness of the location the interesting seasonal ingredients were sensational, the friendly staff were well trained and very professional. Louise... More

This is a nice ski lodge with great host and a great team ensuring that you have a comfortable time at Ohau. However, come here only if this is a family trip with kids. This ski lodge is more like a 3 star ski lodge, for families. I would only recommend this place if you are coming here with children... More
