I've just come back from staying at hotel Kulusuk. I booked 3 nights through an Icelandic travel agent but landed up staying for 5 nights due to a massive snow storm which caused my return flight to be cancelled. Kulusuk itself is a fantastic place. It’s one of the most beautiful places I've been to, the local people are so... More

Seems lots of hotels in both Iceland and Greenland are on tops of hills. You can walk into town, but the walk back is a killer (15% inclines). This was a barebones hotel in terms of the rooms. They would be better classified as a dorm room or a hostel room--small, but clean. The breakfast was plain, with the same... More

The hotel was in an amazing location, very very remote part of the world. Being located in an extreme socialist country (Denmark) we did not expected any luxury...and indeed nothing in this hotel is comfortable or resembles luxury, it is so basic that it will remind you of a low level JAIL cell, however it is the ONLY hotel, it... Our room was clean and comfortable enough, the view was stunning and it was interesting seeing the small settlement of Kulusuk. Wifi was expensive at nearly £6 for 30 minutes. Despite the note on our booking stating that I do not eat meat no alternative was offered (where did the leftover lunchtime fish go?!) When I asked I was told... More

This is the only hotel in Kulusuk and I guess one has to take into consideration its remoteness when reviewing it. It has good views across the water to the mountains and provides decent if rather uninspiring accommodation. The food was ok and fortunately there was beer. The overall feeling was one of functionality, which is a bit of a... More

This is the only place to stay and eat in this Settlement of 300 people. It exists as a tourist stop due to the landing strip built during the Cold War. The hotel is family owned (along with Hotel Angmagssalik in Tasilaq). They either host or arrange any touring you do at this site. The rooms, while somewhat small, are... More

This hotel is located on a beautiful waterfront spot very near the airport. It's a basic type of hotel with "interesting" rooms and food. In Greenland you are lucky to get the basics! The hotel has a nice, large upstairs room that serves as the bar, dining room, and gathering area. And, with a great view! Our group enjoyed meeting... More

This hotel is the only game in town. It is a uphill walk from the airport (although someone will pick you up). The rooms are small but adequate. The pillow was very small and squishy. In fact, it was the only hotel (at this point we stayed in 4 others in Iceland) that actually had a bar of soap. Others... More

Basic hotel. Clean with a friendly staff. Food was good. Just a walk down the hill from the airport and another 15 minutes from town. What was lacking in accommodations was more than made up for by the view. We got to see a polar bear taken by the town people. This is the real deal.

We ferried a plane around the world and stayed one night in Kulusuk. Rooms appear to have been recently renovated and were clean, and properly maintained. The building is old, the rooms are very small with very very small bathroom, and I believe that all the rooms in the hotel consists of only two single beds (on opposite sides of... More
