My boyfriend and I came down here for much needed R&R. We stayed 7 nights at the hotel, electing to stay here and nowhere else during our 8 day trip to Puerto Rico. By the end of the stay, we felt more like friends with Rafi Sr. then we did customers :) With that being said, this place is not... More

My 3 daughters and I stayed here this past week. The hotel is embedded in a beautiful setting of El Yunque. El Hotelito is a fully sustainable ecolodge, yet has all the essentials for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Rafael was our host and helped us get settled. He served us a wonderful meal of pan seared seasoned pork chops,... More

Just wanted to say that Rafael and this hotel is fantastic. Nestled away in a private location, but accessible to all Fajardo. Give Raffael a try and call him to book your wonderful family getaway vacation. Situated at the perfect elevation and easily accessible main roads along with the incredible motif and friendly atmosphere.

My only regret about El Hotelito was only planning it as a 2 night stay. I felt more relaxed and at ease here in the rainforest than I ever had at a hotel. Everything from the welcoming company of Raphael and the dogs to the open air environment, to the sounds of rain and the coquis made me so happy.... More

I've visited El Yunque many times, but had never experienced it at night. The hotel itself is beautiful and spacious. Our room had a small balcony that overlooked the precious rainforest, and was a perfect place to enjoy sunsets and sunrises. The host was funny, hospitable, and a good cook. The three dogs were very loving and provided some entertainment... More

This is a once in a lifetime experience. You are out in the open in the tropical rain forest where you will experience the amazing sounds of the coqui frogs. If you are open to camping and truly experiencing the rain forest you will enjoy this experience. The beds are comfortable, the shower is very low pressure, and the bedrooms... More

We arrived at El Hotelito up in the El Yunque Rainforest greeted by a tranquil open air building and a family of friendly doggies at the steps, barking "Hola" to their new guests. Our 2 night stay at El Hotelito was the beginning of our vacation in Puerto Rico. We had 3 rooms booked for a group of 5. Rooms... More

We visited last week and came away with awesome photos and lots of discussion about how to make this place truly outstanding. The flowers and creatures were tons of fun to take pictures of which oddly balanced out the seeming reluctance of the owners to provide a positive customer service-based experience. Anything can happen at this place after dark when... More

Hi there wackomom, Hope this finds you well. Thank you for staying with us and thank you for your review, it was quite entertaining to read, some flare for the dramatic story telling I see but I appreciate the review nonetheless. I want to clarify some points on your review that I find would have not have been an issue... More

My husband, preschooler son, and I had a great weekend getaway at the Hotelito in June 2015. Overall I am very glad that we chose to stay at Hotelito, but there are some problems with El Hotelito, which readers should be aware of. First, the good: The property is breathtakingly beautiful: a gorgeous, open-air house situated on a hill in... More

My father and I have never had a father and daughter trip and El Hotelito was the place to go. The owners are friendly and it truly felt as if we were with family. We were given information on great trails to walk and other activities to do in the area. The ride to El Hotelito is a great experience.... More
