Ok so this was another late deal so it was relatively cheap for Jamaica and after reading some of the negative reviews we got what we expected really, Rooms were average, clean enough with air con, sky tv and well equipped mini bar which is free until you have to refill. Pools were cleaned every morning but we found that... more

Just returned from Starfish trelawny. This is my second trip there. On our first trip the rooms were not ready. The same happened on this trip. This is unacceptable especially when you have 3 children aged 2,4 and 5. The minibar was empty and we faced reluctance of staff to fill it. The staff need people training. They are rude,... more

This place is a dump! We have been to Jamaica before but stayed in Negril and had great service however, this time I wanted to check out another part of the island and because of this stay I probably would not go back for a looooong time. In my opionion the hotel should be for locals only. FYI, their website... more

We arrived on friday and made it through customs and immigration very quickly. We didn't wait long for the shuttle and the ride to the resort is easy in a nice van. The resort is old and does need work to make it more appealing. Check in was easy at noon (seemed worse at night) although the service at the... more

We travelled in a large party and to be honest it was as if we had different holidays. I think I had the best time - I have three children under seven and having children everyone adores you. I met the nicest people and stayed in one of the Cottage rooms - which I cannot fault for cleanliness and comfort.... more

The Starfish was worth every penny and met our needs beyond our own expectations. The Starfish had a modest look, the lobby was clean but very plain looking, and nothing really stood out as extravagant. The door man handed us two very tasty fruit drinks, a rum punch of sorts! We checked into our ocean view room, in which I... more

We read the reviews before our trip, the bad ones making us a little bit nervous, but we had a fantastic time! Although the hotel isn't much to look at from the outside, the amentities and service provided more than makes up for what it lack in aesthetics. From the moment we arrived the hotel staff were helpful and friendly,... more

This hotel is no where near as bad as people have made out on this site, in fact there were certain parts that we just loved. I would recommend this hotel to others and at the price we paid it was a bargain. Rooms - we were very impressed with our room, we had a huge (kingsize) double bed and... more
