We celebrated the in laws 50th Wedding Anniversary at The Tempest Arms on Saturday night. In total there were 12 of us including 3 children. We had ordered all of the meals via email ahead of the evening and this helped the evening run like clockwork. Some went for 2 courses, others went for 3 and all of the food... More

Perfect place for our celebration also we were able to take the fifth member of our family ie Astra our Golden Labradorite. We had to sit in the bar area but it was such a wonderful event. My turn next year!

Lovely rooms, very homely with great character and furnished to a high standard. Very nice pub where I had a lovely dinner. Only downsides were breakfasts, very watery scrambled eggs & cheap sausages, storing rubbish bags by the exit outside my room and no late reception.

Thank you so much for you recent review, I am sorry that your visit was somewhat scarred! I will pass on you comments regarding the scrambled eggs we don't however use a powered product only free range fresh eggs? And our sausages are from a small producer in the area Bells of Lothersdale and are certainly not cheap. The bag... More

This is an excellent place to stay. Both the pub and the rooms are clean, comfortable and quirkily decorated. The service in all areas could not be faulted We stayed for one Friday night in Suite 16 with beautiful views of fields and the stream. Little details included candles and bath salts. There was a living flame gas fire in... More

We are very spoilt in our region for good pubs and restaurants. The Tempest Arms has everything - open fire, sumptuous furnishings, friendly staff and wonderful food and service. A varied menu with regular changes The Tempest Arms is a busy, bustling Inn with a great atmosphere. No surprise people love it. If you have never tried it you are... More

What a great find, the Inn is situated off the Colne to Skipton road, Skipton only being a couple of miles away. The car park was busy, which is always a good sign. Reception in the older part of the property (Really Oldy worldy) was quick and friendly. Rooms were in a modern building, although very tastfully finished on the... More

My wife and I stayed in the area in late January 2015 and visited the Tempest for an evening weekend meal without booking. The pub/restaurant was very busy (booking necessary for the restaurant!) but they could easily accommodate us in the extensive bar area which serves the identical menu to that served in the restaurant. All of the meals available... More

The hotel publishes a leaflet with various dog walks starting from the Hotel and was lovely to be able to enjoy a walk with the dogs and then have lunch. Food was excellent. Served quickly and delicious and hearty portions. Worth the drive out to experience it. Will def be back.
