This Travelodge is very isolated especially now the Little Chef has closed. It is also in need of refurbishing and updating. It was a good thing that we had eaten before we arrived. The staff were friendly and welcoming, but I would not choose to stay here again if there was a choice.

Very good price and clean. However, this hotel desperately needs updating. The shower rail was rusty, the tiles in the bathroom need replacing as does the grouting. I like the retro TV (it's as if flatscreen was not invented). As with all Travelodges the room was a fair size and the master bed comfortable. One of the windows was slightly... More

Quiet, good location with friendly staff and good quality rooms. Plan to go there again. Access to Stowmarket, Ipswich and Bury St Edmunds are excellent. Cambridge not too far. The village of Haughley has a great Indian restruant.

Don' advise any individual to stay there because of all the workman and their vans, because you would have great difficulty with the parking. there is no facilities close to get food. This travel lodge is not well maintained. Staff not very helpfull

Good location but shame about the disused Little Chef and the Mot garage outside, stayed Saturday night and considering the guy on reception told me the rooms were full for the night the hotel is reasonably quite.Stayed in a family room (11) very near reception, very good size room, needs a lick of paint and the gaps around the window need sorting out... I paid £27 per night, so I don’t expect too much, but Travelodge should have a basic standard that you expect. Unfortunately this wasn’t met. I did get a reasonable nights sleep but I think that’s because I was just shattered. There seemed to be something missing from the room as the bed was all squashed up to one wall,... More

Extremely poor in every respect. No cleaning, no food available nearby, poorly trained staff, and receptionist generally not interested when checking out. The only excuse for not cleaning the room, emptying the bin or making the bed is that they did not have any cleaners.

We arrived, rather worn out by a long day, to this lodge in the dark. The first sight that greets you is a boarded-up Little Chef and some very tall, industrial fencing opposite. Our first thought was that our SatNav had brought us to the wrong place, but we could see cars on the carpark so ventured in. It wasn't... More

Weekend stay at this hotel. Booked due to close links to A14 which could be heard inside of the hotel room all day long. Hotel itself is rather outdates and needs an upgrade. The outside of the hotel is shabby needs new windows and old style tvs. Although this has new beds the whole hotel needs upgrading. Next door is... More
