We have been visiting The Cedars for over 15 years. The staff are always gracious and friendly. The food in the bar and restaurant is lovely and good sized proprtions. The hotel is an alround good value hotel. I worked as a wedding photographer for 27 years, and always looked forward to working with the people at the Cedars at... More

We stayed here for 1 night after travelling down to stowmarket to collect a "pick up" item from ebay and deciding it was too far to travel back home in daylight! It's near the busy A14 dual carriageway but is screened by trees and our ground floor room was very quiet. The hotel is a little bit dated but clean... More

Just had the most amazing meal with my family! 4 adults and 2 teenagers enjoyed 5 different dishes from the menu and all were really pleased with the quality of the food! Starters, main and dessert were all presented well and in plentiful supply. Staff were all friendly and welcoming and maintained a smile as the bar became busier. The... More

I extended my stay at the Cedars because the hotel vastly exceeded my expectations. It is a charming old fashioned country hotel in an old farmhouse which has been somewhat overtaken by the growing town. The recently renovated bathroom was modern and convenient. The staff everywhere could not have been more courteous and helpful and kind to my wife and... More

We had a family gathering last week and we all enjoyed the food very much. Service was good and instead of being on one long table, they arranged a square seating plan which was great because we could all talk as a group rather than just the person opposite. Would definitely return.

Easy to find, 5 minutes driving from the rail station in Stowmarket. Very kind personnel that will ensure you a pleasant stay. The room was simply lovely, on the top of the building. The structure is very clean and comfortable, services are very goodand during the evening you can dinner with very tasty local food or drink a beer relaxing... More

Having booked our room well in advance of our stay (9 months) and advising staff on several calls that we would need easy access as we would have a 22month old and a 5 week old on arrival we were advised our "family room" was located up 2 flights of stairs and down 3 lots of 2 steps- family friendly... Sandwiched between a busy road and a paint distribution warehouse , pretty this hotel is certainly not. I stayed here on business so any touristy activities were not required and all I needed was a clean comfy bed a bite to eat and a decent breakfast. On that score this worked with friendly staff and good bar food at reasonable... More

After reading the reviews on this place I feel I must do my own. I love this hotel, the wife and I have stayed there on a couple of occasions and every time we have found it to be clean and pleasant with friendly, helpful staff. The breakfast, in my opinion, is great value. Much better than a Wetherspoons. I'd... More

Easy to access hotel and free parking. We were going to Traditional Music Day at the Museum of East Anglian Life so very convenient. Friendly staff with average facilities. However a very average breakfast was an extra £7.50 per person making it an expensive place to stop. Better food and much cheaper at Wetherspoons down the road.
