A beautifully-kept property, with a wealth of interesting artefacts, easily accessed off the main A14 road. Very spacious accommodation, lovely gardens, splendid food and, to cap it all, nothing seemed to be too much trouble for our hosts.

Despite arriving 3 hours earlier than I said I would I was welcomed with tea and fruit loaf in the garden. My room was huge and very well provisioned. The evening meal was delicious and eating with the hosts was really enjoyable. The breakfast was mostly home grown and home reared and was really superb. Highly recommended. I just need... More

A spacious and charming house with an interesting history in a handy location for central Suffolk mid way between Ipswich and Bury St Edmunds. Accommodating and attentive hosts who provided us with a delicious breakfast. We took two rooms for a family wedding in the village and all slept very well. We would recommend to others and would definitely stay... More

Our stay at Haughley House was one of the highlights of our time in England. Our hard-working, gracious hosts did everything possible to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience. The house and surroundings are immaculate and the breakfasts sublime.

Great location for central Suffolk. As a party of six we took all three rooms. The house is truly a home from home. Dinner is a must to take in the atmosphere. Breakfast is as good as it gets. The hosts made the stay exceptional especially with the many tales of the expected and unexpected. Overall a joyful experience which... More

My sister and her friends spent two nights at Haughley House last week. They thoroughly enjoyed their stay, and were most impressed with the hospitality. The accommodation was very comfortable, and the breakfasts and dinners were delicious. The attention to detail was excellent, and nothing was too much trouble for our charming hosts.

We stayed here on the evening of 07th April as we were attending a wedding at Haughley Barn, we were immediately made to feel welcome and made a pot of tea and home made biscuits after being shown to our room, it is a fantastic place and setting with plenty history and run by s lovely couple. In the morning... More

I stayed here this month and was extremely pleased, upon arrival I was warmly greeted and offered coffee and cake whilst checking in which was a lovely touch. I was then shown to my room, the room was lovely and had everything in that I needed. In the morning I was greeted with an array of things for my breakfast... More

My rather late review. Am attaching up. Clearly there is a typical patron that is welcome here. I am of the firm belief that reviews should not always be taken at face value and it is certainly the case with this place. The village setting is lovely and first impressions of the house were favourable. When the door was opened... More

We find it rather curious that someone would write a review six months after their stay. This is the first time we have had a complaint about any of our beds, indeed many guests comment on how very comfortable they are, as can be seen in other reviews. We have always purchased the finest mattresses. Surely, if someone had slept... More
