I have been many places in Ireland that are called castle hotels. I have to say that without reservation Durrow is the best for the price and the services. Their B and B package included both dinner and breakfast. We were treated like royalty. The grounds are outstanding in the spring with all of the color. If you are there... More

My wife and I take a weekend to ourselves once or twice each year. Castle Durrow was easily the best weekend stay after many years. Excellent Staff & Service, excellent food and the room they give us was spectacular. Many of these grand 18th century houses are not been used for anything worthwhile, Castle Durrow is beautifully presented and restored... More

Stayed here for a night for a wedding in December. I had a beautiful room upstairs over the stables. There were nice views, it was very quiet, there was underfloor heating, molton brown toiletries, overall a very nice comfortable room. The main hotel itself has several different drawing rooms that you can have a drink in or just sit and... More

We stayed in Castle Durrow for 3 nights just after Christmas as part of family wedding. The hotel is really beautiful. Often these older estate type hotels can be a little dated or dusty but Castle Durrow has been decorated really beautifully and is expertly managed. The Christmas decorations were gorgeous and the whole place had such a cosy feel... More

Where do I start? I think what set Durrow apart from other venues is that they are so experienced with weddings. The only word I can use is slick. The staff, ably led by Marie the wedding co-ordinator, could not have been friendlier or more helpful. They literally knew what you needed before you’d thought of it yourself! I knew... More

What a beautiful setting for a winter wonderland. This is a beautiful and tranquil place to stay with every amenity near at hand. The staff cannot do enough to help and make you feel comfortable. The bed, sheets, pillows, robes etc. all so luxurious and comfortable. Breakfast in bed was a culinary delight. Thank you Shelly and team! Will I... More

I visited the castle today with family for lunch. My sister in law is getting married here next year so we decided to have day trip to check out her choice of venue. I was blown away by the ambience, decor and how pleasant each member of staff was. Lunch was fantastic, and we all had the feeling we didnt... More

Just home( reluctantly!) having spent a magical few days over New Year in Castle Durrow. Staff who remember your name, fluffy robes in four postered room, perfectly poached eggs at breakfast, long crisp walks down by the river, the best burger and skinny chips I've had in years in the bar, We'll be back!

Very hard to beat the overall comfort and friendless of castle Durrow. ... 6 ft beds crisp white cotton and sumptuous warm surroundings . Dinner was a culinary delight and breakfast didn't disappoint with every taste catered for . Did the trail walk locally followed by hot Todd s in the village ... For a short or long stay could...
