"This is not a hotel, we are not obliged to keep the heating on", ' I knew ye were going to be trouble', just some of the lovely comments by the hosts of this establishment when my aunt and two uncles asked for some hot water and more gas for the heater during a minus 4 degree outside temperature whilst... My husband and I stayed in Durrow House last night (October 11th) as we had a wedding in the area. Its a majestic house which I believe is over 300 years old. From the moment we arrived Noreen and Jim were warm and welcoming and treated us like we were old friends. Our room was huge and overlooking the square.... More

Great location for wedding in Castle Durrow. Hosts friendly but house was worn and tired. Room was clean and large with comfortable bed. However accommodation lacked any "heart" or warmth. Very 70's style headboard, chipboard lockers with cheap lamps and curtains/duvet cover. Apart from one antique nothing to compliment the period of the house. Ensuite very poor. Whole house needs... Picturesque accommodation in the centre of beautiful Durrow. Jim and noreen are friendly and couldn't recommend highly enough. Stayed for wedding in Durrow Castle. Walking distance to all the attractions around the village.

Just stayed in Durrow House with my husband while visiting Durrow for a friends wedding in the nearby Castle. On arrival we were met by Noreen the very warm & welcoming landlady who could not do enough for us. Our room was very large, spotless & beautifully furnished, luxurious carpets throughout, & very comfortable bed. Our room was near the... More

Stayed here whilst attending a Wedding very recently and Durrow House is a lovely B&B located right in the centre of Durrow. Only a short walk from Castle Durrow and the surrounding shops and pubs. The hosts Noreen and Jimmy were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Room was absolutely fine, breakfast was fit for a king and... More

We have stayed at Durrow House before, and had a lovely stay again. Our hosts were very warm & welcoming and remembered us from our last stay, couldn't meet more accommodating hosts. We had a gorgeous breakfast, and nothing was too much trouble and they were very helpful as usual, plenty to eat at breakfast, and we will certainly be... More

I stayed in Durrow House from 22 - 25 August 2013. The location was perfect for a wedding I attended, the full Irish breakfast was superb and beautifully cooked. Both Noreen and James were absolutely charming, nothing was too much trouble. I would recommend this guest house to any traveller that would like to stay in homely surroundings. I had... More

Stayed for a wedding in nearby castle . Location is great however I have stayed on better hostels for less money . Rooms outdated poor decor bed linen etc . Not acceptable for price charged of €75 . In short way overpriced for such poor quality would not stay again
