This guesthouse was extremely comfortable. The room was spacious with views towards the river and the town Square. Rose and Sean were most welcoming throughout our stay and they provided us with a tour of their work-in-progress redevelopment of the site from an 18th century coachhouse to a top class guesthouse. In particular is the conversion of the stables into... More

What a great stay, made to feel very welcome by Rosita and Sean. They allow dogs which really made my trip possible. Great breakfast and the room in the stable buildings was amazing, large and really well finished, a must stay.

We stayed here for three nights. The new courtyard rooms/self contained apartment was fabulous. Spotless. We were not expecting anything as nice. We were given fresh towels every day and the room made up. To top everything upon return from a long day we found the Fire lit for us. So thoughtful and extremely welcoming. Cannot recommend this place enough.... More

Having recently visited this restaurant for a meal with friends and not wanting to make a fuss about being coeliac, as our friends had booked it, we went along feeling sure that they would cater for coeliacs. However, I was extremely disappointed. Having mentioned to our waitress that I was coeliac, I was informed that their gravy and sauces are... More

This beautiful hotel is an ideal stop off point for travellers - it is spotlessly clean and the bedroom big and spacious - breakfast was very good indeed although I felt that it was run on a strict budget..ask for juice you get one glass of juice etc. The lady serving the breakfast seems to be run off her feet... At last a visit to Ashbrook Arms for Sunday Lunch. Have only ever heard positive reviews and the owners previous Restaurant was always a family favourite. Staff, food, service, decor etc all flawless!! Great lunch and great value. Lovely to see the building restored to its deserved status in the town. Would recommend, family friendly.

Ashbrook Arms was the best place we stayed in Ireland. As an American, traveling abroad can be difficult because we have high standards, but the Ashbrook Arms went above and beyond meeting our standards. The Ashbrook Arms was wonderful. We stayed in the restored stable area. Our room was large and very comfy. It fit our family perfectly. the towels... More

Had excellent night here. Bed was big and very clean and room was bright and airy. Staff were excellent and couldn't do enough even though they were very busy due to local festival. Allowed us to bring our small dog too with out any fuss. We even got great room overlooking the square. Had dinner late up in durrow castle... More

Start: If I could give this Guesthouse a 7 star, I would. I was so impressed with it. The proprietors (Sean and Rosita) were absolutely lovely - really genuine people - nothing put on - it was obvious that they loved and were so proud of what they were doing. The Hotel (I think of it more as a hotel... More
