I booked this as I was going to a wedding in Castle Durrow for New Years and my stay at Ashbrook Arms was faultless. The owner was so helpful and friendly and brought us fresh coffee to our room when we arrived. The room was huge, warm and perfect. I would definitely recommend staying here, we just loved it. Excellent... More

I stayed here for a wedding in December and I had the best experience all year. The service is very friendly and personal, knowing us by name as we arrived. They were very helpful and obliging too. The rooms are very spacious and high quality. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

We stayed over at this lovely Guesthouse while attending a wedding at the nearby Castle Durrow. From the minute we arrived with a warm welcome and the offer of a cup of tea, we felt at home. We checked in at 12.15 on our way to the 1 pm wedding. But that was not a problem. Our room was ready... More

The Ashbrook Arms in Durrow was decided upon to be the venue for a staff reunion in recent weeks. I had remembered from passing through Durrow that the place had been closed and run-down for quite some years. Originally a coaching inn dating back to the 1700's, it has in recent years been lovingly restored by the present owners. The... More

We were attending a wedding at Castle Durrow the day before and stayed here for an overnight stay. We were met at the door and shown to our room by a lovely woman who was great to chat. The room itself was huge and really clean. The bathroom was really clean and the shower was fantastic. The breakfast was fantastic... More

We were attending a wedding at Castle Durrow and booked the Ashbrook Arms for an overnight stay. We were greeted immediately on arrival and shown to our room and offered tea / coffee. The room was very comfortable and overlooked the rear of the property which had a quiet aspect (I imagine the front which looks out onto the main... More

I have reviewed the Ashbrook Arms on a previous occasion (2 years ago) and found it to be first class accommodation on each of the four occasions that I have stayed there. My last visit was at the beginning of Sept when we had the good fortune of staying in the new courtyard suite which was a pleasure to behold.... More

I enjoyed a fabulous meal here a few weeks ago. However, I am allergic to wheat and was disappointed that they didn't have a pepper sauce wheat free , to go with my steak, - we had called in advance to ask if they could accommodate me, and was told yes - they didn't offer an alternative to the pepper... We stayed for three days and our expectations were well met. A good Irish welcome from Sean (fine fresh ground coffee and bisquits and then off to a well appointed room. The whole building had been very tastefully restored to a first class Coaching Inn, we were well impressed !!!. Breakfast on all the mornings was first class ,and at last... More

The staff, service, rooms and breakfast were all fantastic! I stayed there 2 nights for a wedding.First you are greated with a welcoming smile and then brought up to your room which is very large and nicely renovated. In the morning you are able to go down and have a very delicious full Irish breakfast. The village of Durrow is... More
