We stayed as a one big family ( 16 ) with kids from the age of 2 till 24 , they all had enjoyed an active ( ballo, kayaking , biking , playing soccer at the Chateau and enjoying the heated pool) and a relaxing ( mostly eating ) vacation. Both Eric and Lisa ( the hosts ) went out... More

The location, the atmosphere, the guidance provided by the host (Eric,) the food and the people were just great. My family and I enjoyed a week where we stayed active (playing soccer, biking, kayaking) and at the same time took it easy -- relaxing next to the pool with some good wines, cheese, and other excellent foods. Can’t wait to... More

Such a lovely ,memorable experience staying in a fairy tale area. We had lovely private self contained accommodation,so clean and our delightful host, Eric has thoughtfully provided all those comforts needed. Eric and Lysa were so helpful with recommendations on sightseeing, restaurants, market days and canoeing. Les Charmes de Carlucet is an experience we will treasure and hope one day... More

We stayed as a family of six plus baby in the gite to the side of this lovely Manoir. The gite is spacious and equipped with everything you could ask for, and Eric thoughfully provided a lot of extra touches for a hungry family arriving on a Sunday night. The rooms are spacious, spotless and all en-suite, and we relaxed... More

One of our best vacations ever! The area, setting, property and facilities are first class. The breakfast is generous and great value. So relaxing after a day of sightseeing, get Eric the owner to make recommendations and reservations. Canoeing is a must and the views from the water are unique. Why stay anywhere else!! We have just returned from our third visit to this lovely region of Perigord. Rural surroundings, quiet roads, prehistory and mediaeval history, busy market towns, all within a small area – such variety that we were never at a loss for anything to do. But the main attraction has been our return to Les Charmes de Carlucet. Eric Edgar is... More

We had 3 wonderful days in the Perigord Noir, and I wish we had much more time to explore this beautiful area with so much to offer. We stayed at Les Charmes de Carlucet in the spacious converted attic on the top floor of this adorable large stone country house. The house and 2 adjacent gites are restored to immaculate... More

After a warm welcome from Eric and Lysa we had a wonderful 2 weeks stay in beautiful surroundings and comfortable accommodation. There is plenty to do in the area and Eric gave us great information of what to do and where to go. I would recommend a days canoeing down the Dordoigne and the local night markets where you can... This is the fifth time we have stayed at Beaux Reves, the Gite is superb, it's spacious, and each bedroom has an en suite bathroom, it's the perfect family holiday cottage. Set in two hectares of land, it's ideal for children. Located in the heart of the Dordogne, there are plenty of restaurants in the surrounding area and our host... More
