This was our best vacation ever mostly due to Eric's warm hospitality, ideal location and beautiful facility. The house is gorgeous, with wonderful views, an excellent breakfast and a great pool! Eric was super helpful with ideas and tips for trips, dining and entertainment. Every question and request we had were addressed with the utmost care. We travel every year... More

We stayed in the Gite Beau Reves as part of Les Charmes de Carlucet for a week at the end of August. The accommodation is superb, of a high standard and very spacious. The bedrooms are all ensuite with very comfortable beds. An excellent location, very peaceful, with superb grounds and a lovely pool to relax in/by. The property is... More

Les Charmes de Carlucet is a great Dordogne lodging pick if you are planning to stay out in the countryside, but still want to be in close proximity (15-20min) to the river (for canoeing), caves and other tourist sites. My family stayed here in July 2014. On a previous trip we’d stayed in the outskirts of Sarlat, which was nice... More

After much research I booked the cottage Les Beaux Reves for our French holiday with a group of friends. Eric is the perfect host - friendly and helpful right from the start when I first made contact with him regarding our booking. We loved our cottage, our private pool and the surrounding area - so peaceful and beautiful. The experience... More

We (2 adults/ 2 children aged 12 and 10) were fortunate enough to enjoy 12 nights at this wonderful B&B in July 2014. We stayed in the Lavender room in the attic area and had plenty of room : it was a spacious room with double/ 2 singles and large bathroom. We all very much enjoyed ourselves. There was so... More

We had 8 days at the Les Charmes de Carlucet at July 2014 . I really believe that it's the best place to stay if you plan to visit this beautiful area. My original plan was to stay in Sarlat ( don't miss the Wednesday morning market) the beautiful little town near by, I am so happy we changed the... More

Our second visit proved just as good as the first. The B&B accommodation was extremely comfortable, clean and spacious and Eric was again very helpful in finding great places to eat and visit. We would have no hesitation in recommending Les Charmes.

The title refers to Eric, the hotel itself and the location. All exceeded my expectations. We stayed here on our way to Paris from the south of France for two nights. In hindsight the area had way more to do and see ... we should have spent at least 4 nights to really enjoy the area and beautiful property. Eric... More
