We have recently returned from a ten day stay at Les Granges Hautes. It is a lovely old manor house with extensive gardens and a good-sized pool. This is a surprisingly interesting location. The huge garden, the pool, the charming rooms and the central location all added value to our stay. These assets largely compensated for the excellent but fairly basic breakfast and the internet connection which rarely went beyond 0,3Mb/s. We stayed for four nights here at the end of June. Nice room on the first floor with a nice bathroom. the grounds were large and attractive. Hosts kind and helpful. We have visited Les Granges Hautes over the years and this was our fourth visit. We always stay here when we are in the area...you couldn't find a nicer place to stay. We spent four wonderful nights at La Grange Hautes from 13-17 June. The property was magnificent, beautiful gardens and a lovely refreshing pool. The rooms were quite large with a nice ensuite, beds very comfortable. The breakfast was very nice and plentiful and we had breakfast in the garden each morning. Lovely B&B on lovely grounds. The suite was good-sized and (in addition to the queen bed) had 2 single beds for the kids as opposed to a couch, which is always nice to find. The pool was a highlight! This is the quintessential French Country Inn, beautiful old buildings set on magnificent grounds, with lawns, gardens, and orchards. We stayed in Virginie, in the main house. When we walked through the entrance of Les Grange Hautes in the Dordogne region of France I had the feeling of entering Shangri La. Granted, that whole area is stunning, but this b&b blended perfectly with its setting. Our stay at this wonderful bed and breakfast fulfilled all of our dreams of staying in an historic building in the french countryside.
