Bonfacio is beautiful, but maybe because of the geography, it isn't blessed with a great choice of decent hotels. Genovese is probably one of the best, but I paid a lot of money for a mediocre experience. When booking the room, I made it very clear that I wanted a room with a balcony rather than a terrace. This is... More

The hotel is much nicer in real then on pictures. In French standard this is not 3-stars. The rooms are very nice and looks newly refurnished. Its close to the city and the harbor, it has private parking, a nice pool area and great service. We will definetly recommend this to anyone travelling to Bonifacio.

A few days ago (late June) we stayed for three nights in Hotel Genovese. The location is perfect on the edge of the cliff in the Haute Ville. There is a simple but beautiful breakfast and parking next door, which is a big bonus in this part of town. The rooms are clean, well maintained and all the staff were... More

The hotel is located in the best location in Bonifacio, over looking the harbor and being part of the original fort wall, It is small and very nicely decorated. Outdoor pool and balcony is amazing and beautifully designed and decorated. tasteful elegant breakfast with a French flare. Warm and friendly service by staff. All in all- great stay...

This is the second stay we've had and enjoyed at Hotel Genovese in spectacular Bonifacio. During our first visit we had a Port View room that had a small balcony partially situated in the roof of the quadrangle building. This time we had one of the rooms off the quadrangle courtyard (our room, number 9, was called "Aragon") which we... More

Genovese was a successful experience where we enjoyed the clean rooms, the beautiful view, the brand new bathrooms and the special attention and care during all our stay. Nicolas, at the front desk, helped us with his advices and what to do and what to see in a short time, we were able to see beautiful sights and enjoy great... More

My wife and I stayed at Hotel Genovese for a total of 3 days - two days down in the waterside Annex, and one day in the main complex. Overall our stay was very enjoyable and we found the location, food, service and value for money to be excellent. The Annex rooms in particular are beautiful with spectacular views of... More

Once you have made the tricky route in Bonifacio up the hill to the hotel you will not be disappointed. Its situation overlooking the harbour is outstanding. The people at reception are charming and helpful, rooms are comfortable - we had a small balcony which was a little sun trap in the mornings. Parking - which can be a nightmare... More

It was a pitty that so few people were staying at the hotel when I was there. I missed some atmosphere. On the other side, I had "all" attention :-) . The view on the bay is really beautiful from this hotel, staff is friendly, rooms are clean. Relaxing time at the pool is very cosy!
