Travelling off-season has its rewards! We were able to stay in a room facing the port, at a very reasonable price. Room was European-small (compared to North American standards), very clean. Reception staff very helpful and accommodating. This is a great location to walk (steep stairs!) to the old, upper city and the King of Aragon stairs (les Escaliers du... More

This place was recommended by friends and by our tour operator. The location is great, very convenient for port life. My dishes were actually good (fish carpaccioo and stuffed aubergine) but many of the oher were just mediocre. And expensive. And beware the tray with fish and lobster: prices can surprise you. Sitck to the menu.

The only thing thishotel has got going for it is its location. the rooms are very dated and do not meet accepted standards of cleanliness. However, the real problem comes from a bar, owned by the same hotel, just accross the road. They wiil play extremely loud music until 2 am. believe me, closing the window and running the AC... More

You have the best friendly reception on this hotel. Perfect room with view directly to Bonifacio harbour Front. The is a living nightlife on the waterfront, but if you close the windows and put on the A/C you are NOT disturbed. If you will be disturbed open the window, but don't claim about it. You are warned on beforhand. Break... More

We've stayed only one night at this hotel and we've got bedbugs. The overpriced room we've slept in (105) had only one window overlooking a "courtyard" of 1x1m,so the German word lichthof would be more accurate for it. We tried to get another room, but the hotel was apperently full... This room basically should not be allowed to be rented... More

Location is splendid, so we stayed again after being there five years ago. We paid extra for a port view which was nice but we thought made 'value for money' a doubtful proposition. We agree with others about the off-hand reception, need for maintenance, small rooms and noisy disco. Be warned that the very convenient car park across the street,... More

Let me start with the good part, the location. As other reviewers have noted, if you want to be in the midst of the Bonifacio port "scene" then by all means consider La Caravelle. Be forewarned that the hotel sits above a very noisy discotheque which gets hopping around 11pm and continues. The rooms are quite dated and it appears... More

What a miss with this hotel. It could be extremely charming but is in need of care. Location is fantastic , go down with the elevator, you're at the port and its fun nightlife. a little walk uphill , you're in the city center. Our room was not good, a court view room with no proper curtains in the bathroom.... More

After a long day of driving we arrived here and it looked promising. Parking in closed area, rooms were "ok" and spaceous. The problems became appearant after having dinner and watching Usain Bolt win the 100m, we came back to hotel exhausted and ready to sleep. The problem was the club/bar litteraly 10m away from our window playing loud music... More

Very nice place, we stayed on the top floor with a nice terrace ovelooking the docks. Of course it is a noisy place but this is what this hotel is about. Bonifacio at night is a small party town.
