Paraiso was a bit of a disappointment for me. The place is okay, it was just not me. After one night I moved to another hotel. The breakfast is just coffee, tea, juice, bread and jam. You can buy breakfast in the Buccaneer. You can only get wifi next to the reception office. The place is a bit tired. The... More

I get that you only need to be just a tad better than the next guy, and in Big Corn, Paraiso is one of the best. Having said that, there are things that could be done to improve the experience of the guests. Hot water would be a good start. Apparently, only one room has a water heater. A cleaner... More

This hotel was just ok. It really needs updating and some fresh paint. The beds are uncomfortable and there is no hot water in the rooms. You have take into consideration that this island is very rustic and you have to be ok with that. Otherwise you will be very disappointed. The breakfast is nothing fancy and never changes. Everyday... More

Friendly staff and owner, close to beach. Some nice hammocks and swinging chairs in your shared hut but that's as far as it goes Extremely uncomfortable and small old mattress, forget getting sleep here. Rooms needed massive update, grotty bathroom and dirty walls/ceiling/bathroom. Felt sorry for the cleaner, not much she could do with the place, needs renovation! Noisy drilling... More

Me and my girlfriend stayed one night before continuing on to Little Corn Island. It was very well kept hotel that came with great buffet breakfast that was very typical Nica food. Our room was a clean thatched hut that is split down the middle with another unit. Plenty of space in our room and AC worked well. Walk right... More

It's really hard to convey to anyone who has never been to Corn Island the quality of businesses. If you are going to Corn, the first thing you have to realize is you are going to a 3rd World Nation, and stuff like hot water, and Electricity are NOT a given. If this hotel were in say, Hawaii or Cayman,... More
