This hotel is centrally located in the city and is an old Spanish style place with lots of charm. It is true that it is located between the roads that go in and out of town and can be noisy. The first night we stayed in room 16 which was across the road from the main part and it was... More

We had to break our journey and stay in Coban overnight on our way north by car from Antigua. The thought of staying in a converted convent sounded wonderful, the reality was a little different. The hotel is situated on a junction of very noisy roads in the middle of a very ordinary town which has little going for it.... More

The hotel is centrally located. It has a nice garden and is decorated with fresh flowers. The rooms do not have TV or AC the staff is very friendly and the food is great! Free WiFi! More

La Posada was refered as 'the best Copan has to offer" in my Lonely Planet Guide on Guatemala so I was expecting to find a comfortable, warm and welcoming hotel. Well, what a desapointement. While the gardens are very nice, the two rooms we were offered looked very old and had a very old fashion style. The sheets were so... More

Very nice place, extremely friendly and dedicated staff (the owner personlly supported me when I had serious issues with my mobile. The room was large and clean, the bathroom was okay (but no warm water). The garden and the ambiente in total is very nice - a must to go there and to see it. The noise was no problem... More

The hotel has a certain charm but its location is the main problem. Situated next to the main square and flanked by the main road in and out of town it is extremely noisy from the traffic at all times. The hotel is stretched along the main road and all rooms look out onto the road 1 metre away. The... More

Hotel La Posada is located just off the main square of town. The rooms were very large and comfortable, and the multi-lingual staff were very helpful and friendly. They can help with arranging transport or tours with the local outfitters. Coban was a great place for us to base our excursion to Semuc Champey. We paid 345Q (~$45) for a... More

Enchanting, romantic, and tranquil. My room has two four poster beds and a working fireplace for $30. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful gardens and its restaurant, while not up to International standards, is fine. Dining alfresco is the best part of the dining experience. Don't forget to visit the Mayan Museum. More
