We had a car which made this the absolutely best place to stay in Cobán; far enough from the noisy town and located in the most beautiful setting, with excellent amenities and fine rooms. Helpful, conscientious, friendly staff and owners as well.

In the rain on Christmas eve, without reservations (see below for explanation) the family at Casa Gaia took us in, found two rooms for us and proceeded to rescue a trip that had gone wrong. I know not everyone will get the personal service we did but the place is still worth a visit. At the end of town, past... More

This is a very positive experience on our Guatemala trip: a very friendly and helpful host, a wonderful garden and a nice and clean room with a very good bathroom. The restaurant is a bit basic but this is compensated by the nice cooking and service. I can recommend Casa Gaya to anyone, if you are not very spoiled by... More

What an amazing place this Casa Gaia. Located outside of Coban this is the ideal place to find your peace. The atlosphere is so relaxed and quiet that you feel like being in a resort. The owner is a super friendly guy who even puts umbrella's outside of your room when it rains (it rains quite often in Coban) and... More

The staff was absolutely amazing and the property is gorgeous. We stayed here for 2 nights. The hotel is walking distance into town. The staff helped us book a tour to Semuc Champey that was amazing and were extremely attentive. I would highly recommend Casa Gaia.

It's like staying in a park! We spent 3 wonderful nights in the care of Juan Antonio at Casa Gaia. The entire staff is very helpful and friendly and the rooms are fantastic. Everything on the grounds is manicured to perfection and the relaxing hike up to the cave provides a great view of the city. We really enjoyed the... More

We planned to stay at Casa Gaia on our way to Semuc Champey based on the Trip Advisor reviews but did not think we would be able to find the hotel because we arrived in Coban at night. We were headed out of town and about to give up when by some "miracle" we spotted the hotel in our headlights.... More

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Gaia in Coban. After traveling from Antigua for a good 4 - 5 hours we were very happy to discover how nice the hotel was. The atmosphere of the hotel and grounds is very tranquil. The owners, Juan Antonio and Marta Lidia were very nice and helpful. The rooms were immaculate and the... More

Casa Gaia was a welcome respite from a long journey through the countryside of Guatemala. It is tucked away several blocks from the town of Coban and is located in a spectacular parklike setting with well groomed hiking trails and much serenity. The owners are so lovely, helpful and friendly and our stay was just what we needed after a... More

Casa Gaia was our favorite stop in Guatemala. Really loved the setting and quietness. Staff was very friendly and understood our needs. The food in the restaurant was good but the atmosphere was a bit sterile. Much preferred the outdoor seating and the breakfast was very nice.

Thank you very much for your valuable feedback. Undoubtedly we'll redecorate the restaurant to make it more cheerful for diners and continue to enjoy the view of our beautiful garden. More
