We stayed 2 nights at Castlereigh during our break in Sri Lanka. This part of the country is truly unique with rolling tea plantations as far as the eye can see and temperate weather. Tea trails itself is probably the best way to experience the tea country although it is not cheap. The food and wine is fantastic and it... More

After a long, long, drive we arrived to a warm welcome by Ajith. With road conditions as they are it would have been better to have broken the journey rather than drive from airport direct. The staff soon fixed everything though and we slipped into the vibe. How special! The tea (spoken by a tea lover) is sublime and we... More

We stayed in three different bungalows during six days and, seriously, there is something special with this place. It is very hard to find the right words to explain the atmosphere, peace, calm and quiet surrounding. Be prepared for bumpy roads and never-ending car rides if you want to visit the area but you will not regret it. No doubt... More

My husband and I absolutely loved the Ceylon Tea Trails. Everything was spectacular - the beautiful bungalows, the breathtaking tea country surrounds, the impeccable service and the AMAZING food! We stayed at the Moir Garden Suite in the Tientsin bungalow, which was just beautiful! I really didn't know which bungalow to choose, so we randomly chose Tientsin, and loved it.... More

We knew from the website that this property would have wow factor but the photos don't really do it justice enough. Set high up in the carefully manicured tea plantations at 4000 feet elevation, the climate is a little cooler with a clean air feeling to it. The scenery here is quite dramatic with lush green lawns and beautiful flower... More

My husband and I stayed here for three nights as part of our honeymoon and it was truly amazing. We stayed at the Norwood Bungalow in the Irvine Garden Suite. The room was beautiful with its own private garden. The grounds of the bungalow and the views are just stunning. It really is the perfect place to relax. I have... More

We chose the Tea Trails for the first part of our honeymoon and stayed for 3 nights in April 2013. There was a very long and slow journey from Sri Lanka airport, but it was well worth it when we arrived. It was just heaven. No check in - just taken straight through to our room and offered a drink.... More

We stayed at the Norwood bungalow Andrews suite. The food was fabulous, the staff were so attentive and helpful, and just could not do enough to make our stay probably the best hotel experience we have ever had (and we are avid travellers) If you want to walk the local trails through the tea plantations are terrific with stunning views.... The Norwood bungalow is in an excellent setting in the hills surrounded by tea plantations. Friendly, welcoming staff and the head waiter, chef and sous chef discussed their suggestions for the 3-course lunch and 4-course dinner, and just how you would like it cooked or wanted an alternative. I would have given Norwood an excellent rating had it not been... More

We have just returned from a 5 day blissful stay at Ceylon Tea Trails. We stayed there fro 5 nights in all with 2 nights at Norwood and 3 nights at Castlereagh. We were promptly picked up from our other Hotel in Colombo and drove through a scenic drive through the mountains to arrive just afternoon. The first big disappointment... More
