A delightfully unusual hotel built amongst giant boulders in a World Heritage rain forest. The location is stunning and great for birding if that's your thing. Also ideal for access to Sinharaja. Having seen the accommodation in the park, I would recommend Boulder Garden as a better alternative. The rooms are cleverly built into the natural stone. Don't worry about... More

Beautiful lay out that blends in to nature gives the perfect ambience for a tranquil and relaxed holiday. The food was served in their restaurant which was a natural cave, and in the night dimly lit, in the silence the rain drops falling on to the pond, with the sound of the occasional cricket was soothing to the soul.. They... More

This property surely a paradise for eco-lovers. Excellent for listening to birds and wildlife, watching fish & exploring the nearby plantations on your own. Restaurant staff being extremely helpful particularly Yasiru. Don't get surprised if a bat fly to your dining table, cos if you at Boulder Garden you are a part of the nature...

Most of what you will read here about this hotel is spot on. It has a really amazing and unique setting, especially the restaurant area and the pool which is surprisingly large and beautiful. The staff are friendly and try hard. The food was fairly mediocre. The Sri Lankan curries we had for dinner were pretty good. Breakfast was terrible.... More

The Hotel is located very nicely in the rain forest. Unfortunately on the second day a group of Indian peopel arrived and they were incredible loaud. We could not stay at the pool nor in the room. I complained twice to Management and it helped a little. Boulder Garden has to decide if they want to be a Party Hotel... More

We had a lovely stay here. The restaurant serves european food but we asked for sri lankan and got a table full of wonderful little curries! The restaurant is under a huge boulder and the place is lit by fireflies. Small swimming pool but also beautiful located in the rocks and jungle. The monkeys are jumping around in the trees... More

Such a shame as this hotel has the makings of being a beautiful hotel- tucked away, restaurant surroundings beautiful but the damp in the room was shocking- we woke up in the morning to all our clothes soaking wet- the straps on our camera back and should bag were ringing wet from the damp. The shower was untidy and needed... More

The hotel was beyond all our expectations. Located in a rain forest amid huge boulders, one has to appreciate the imagination and courage of the people that built this hotel. Everything you read about this place is true, but the most important thing is the attitude of the staff to the guests. Though people in Sri Lanka are generally nice,... More

This hotel is like no other, such a unique little hideaway. The room we stayed in was lovely and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating. As it was heavily raining for a few days the cave tour and kayaking didn't go ahead, so that was the only downside (and as the hotel is small, there is little to do... More

I have only ever written one review before and that was because the hotel owner asked me to, but this one is different. This year for the first time my Wife daughter and I decided to try Hayes and Jarvis. We went to the Club Palm Bay in Sri Lanka, the hotel was very nice, lovely grounds, our room had... More
