This is a real experience and one I loved but not for the unsteady on your feet. Called an Eco friendly hotel, as usual with Sri Lanka the staff are just so friendly and helpful. The foods is really excellent and the atmosphere is fabulous for a couple of days. The rooms are spacious and incredibly well attended to. However... More

This place is certainly different but still an extremely comfortable and welcoming hotel. You do need a certain level of physical fitness to climb the steps to reception, your room and the restaurant and pool areas. The rooms were fantastic, comfortable, clean and large. The staff were very attentive and made us fabulous meals. On my birthday they decorated our... More

This place is a touch of architectural vision. The whole place is sill fully moulded into the hill side, combining natural rock and concrete structures. That said the concrete is well hidden by natural vegetation so it is very natural looking. Food is served under a giant over hanging rock structure and creates a very nice atmosphere in the evening.... More

A great design by Sri Lanka's most famous architect, Bawa. Sadly it is a has been hotel. Management has not only let it go but contributed to its slide. Maintenance is poor and totally out of character with its original design. The curtains in the bathroom and shower had been replaced by plastic blue dolphins with bubbles . Horrid! The... More

We have chosen this hotel upon reading all the reviews here, so more or less we had a picture of what to expect, which certainly helped to prevent much disappointment. Natural scenery is wonderful and stunning, and this was our primary motive to choose this hotel for one night stay on our way to the coast. The way how the... More

The rooms are truly built into the mountain. We were moved last minute to this hotel from its sister accommodation due to the heavy unexpected rainfall. The accommodation is truly unique, spacious and with a few mod cons. ( don't expect Internet or mobile phone coverage) which was great! The ensuite completely open plan bathroom was a little disconcerting, absolutely... More

Wow!! What incredible scenery and architecture! This place was right up our street - very echo friendly, fantastic food, very helpful and friendly staff what a stunning 'rainforest retreat'!!! Lots of rain - but expected as in the rainforest! Felt like 'one with nature'!

Wow, what a treat this one! It is not often you have expectations and then they are exceeded. Roms are very nicely decorated but the most important of it all is how everything is done in coherence with nature...stunning! The pool is next to the restaurant which i built under a huge overhanging rock. In any case you feel a... More

Beautiful surroundings, extraordinary setting, good food and wonderful people. Rooms are spacious, clean and nicely furnished. The restaurant is quite unique! While your at it - get yourself a wonderful massage for a good price. Despite the rain, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Boulder Garden!
