The place was in a beautiful location. Rooms were excellent and the food fine enough. The supposed price is a bit of a nonsense, but we were upgraded to superb rooms. Staff were excellent and could not do enough for us. The swimming pool is lovely. There is a sign as you approach from the Galle direction just after Weligama... More

After a stay in cosmopolitan Galle we passed a few days here. If you crave some rural Sri Lankan tranquility this is a real find. The views across the bay are spectacular, the sunsets awesome and even more so if the resident peacocks and put on a full display as you are enjoying dinner. You do need to be aware... More

We have booked the middle category room at 72$ (instead of 318$) for two nights. We have been welcomed by two boys who didn t speak english. The room was very small, had a good bed, the only wardrope was closed with a key. The bathroom was average. There were absolutely nothing that could justify à 318$ standard would require.... More

Can't imagine that there is such a vantage point in Mirissa! Right on top of a hill the view from here is breath taking. One side is an inland view and on the other side is the sea, both views are just wow! Peacocks roam around in the morning, The ambience is just amazing, we booked the entire place for... More

We were told to visit Mirissa Hills for lunch and we expected a bustling restaurant. We entered a serene and surreal place of beautiful views surrounded with amazing pieces of art all by Sri Lankan artists. The food was fantastic and was served by waiters who were discreet and silent which made the experience even more surreal. The views from... More

Mirissa Hills is certainly one of the nicest country houses I have seen in Sri Lanka. At the off-season price we paid (USD 125 B&B) it was certainly good value for money. We stayed at Mount Cinnamon house (the other house in the property is the Museum, under renovation), situated at the highest point of this cinnamon plantation, about 100... More

WOW - what a cool hotel ! Built on the top of a hill overlooking the local bays its lofty position is ideal to relax and escape from all the noise and activity near the beach. The food was absolutely stunning and we had one of the best evening meals ever. There is a very cool swimming pool and there... More

We really enjoyed staying here! It is a great location nestled in the hills on a cinnamon farm! I loved waking up to such beautiful views and being surrounded by peacocks :) the staff were really pleasant, helpful and not too pushy. They really respected our privacy which was appreciated. The rooms are nice, spacious and clean. We stayed in... More

We spent one night in the museum. We found it to be nicely decorated but dirty, noisy with the boom of the beach disco, there was only hot water in the bathroom, the mosquito net was moldy as was the shower, the bed was uncomfortable. The staff were very sweet but completely unexperienced in the delivery of food and the order in which the... More

This is heaven. A beautifully designed home with spectacular views and unbelievable sculpture and art work by Sri Lanka's finest. Magnificent sculpture by Laki in the main room. Do not miss the sculpture gallery on the lower level. Lovely pool. Anjalendran was the architect and this is his work at its finest. The staff is most attentive and the cuisine... More
