If you need a quiet unique resort, where you at the same time can relax in beautiful surroundings, get inspired of great art and lean back with good food and service - Mirissa Hills is the place. With its location a few kilometers from the coastline it is an excellent place as base and starting point for tours in southern... More

We have called here for lunch on more than one occasion and are enchanted by the atmosphere and tranquillity of the hotel. It is away from the bustling crowded beach of Weligama and the busy town and one can truly 'get away from it all' here in very lovely surroundings. The hotel is very tastefully decorated and extensive so one... More

Mirissa was the last stop of our 3.5 week adventure through Sri Lanka with a 9 day stay at Mirissa Hills resort. We were a family group of 12 with 3 kids and had 2 rooms at the top of the hill and the villa at the bottom of the hill. When we arrived we had 2 significantly ill travellers... More

Mirissa Hills is an art work in progress. I stayed in the Cinnamon Museum which has four state of the art rooms with private bath and large shower. Original art work in each room, a very attentive staff, and a lovely atmosphere. The upper floor has a dining area and a museum in progress-- all the history of this working... More

It has 3 types of room. Easily put, those at the bottom near the small access road (2.5 kms to the main road), rooms close to the top and about 500 MTs (not easily walkable in rain and night) and those 4 rooms right at the top. The price goes up as you move higher. We stayed in the cheapest... More

Great hotel located at a cinnamon farm, whereupon you can have a guided walk through the plantation. The room was spacious. Massage can be arranged at the hotel if wanted. Food was great, with excellent service.

We stayed here last minute and don't regret the decision one bit. You have to come up quite a rough track to get here but it's fine even in a three wheeler. We stayed in the museum building which is a short walk downhill from the main house and pool area. We spent the day walking the property, looking at... More

My husband comes to Sri Lanka every now and then for work and he was very impressed with Mirrissa Hills. He said it is by far the best place to stay and eat. I would have to agree! The staff are amazingly helpful and constantly available to assist. The rooms are great and very clean and the food is the... More

Just far enough away from the touristy areas to be very appealing but easily accessible to anywhere you may want to go. The staff are fantastic as are the views of the surrounding hills. This is a very clean and beautiful hotel that must be seen to appreciate.

Thanks a lot for the tour!! Number 1 cinnamon exporting country in the world, you definitely have to pay a visit to a cinnamon plantation. The very kind and friendly manager of Mirissa hills took us on a tour through the plantation with more the than 100.000 cinnamon plants and their cinnamon factory. Very nice to hear everything about the... More
