Mirissa Hills is certainly one of the nicest country houses I have seen in Sri Lanka. At the off-season price we paid (USD 125 B&B) it was certainly good value for money. We stayed at Mount Cinnamon house (the other house in the property is the Museum, under renovation), situated at the highest point of this cinnamon plantation, about 100... More

WOW - what a cool hotel ! Built on the top of a hill overlooking the local bays its lofty position is ideal to relax and escape from all the noise and activity near the beach. The food was absolutely stunning and we had one of the best evening meals ever. There is a very cool swimming pool and there... More

We really enjoyed staying here! It is a great location nestled in the hills on a cinnamon farm! I loved waking up to such beautiful views and being surrounded by peacocks :) the staff were really pleasant, helpful and not too pushy. They really respected our privacy which was appreciated. The rooms are nice, spacious and clean. We stayed in... More

We spent one night in the museum. We found it to be nicely decorated but dirty, noisy with the boom of the beach disco, there was only hot water in the bathroom, the mosquito net was moldy as was the shower, the bed was uncomfortable. The staff were very sweet but completely unexperienced in the delivery of food and the order in which the... More

This is heaven. A beautifully designed home with spectacular views and unbelievable sculpture and art work by Sri Lanka's finest. Magnificent sculpture by Laki in the main room. Do not miss the sculpture gallery on the lower level. Lovely pool. Anjalendran was the architect and this is his work at its finest. The staff is most attentive and the cuisine... More

We loved this place! We had already spent over a week on the beach so this peaceful location on a working cinnamon farm high up in the hills was the perfect anecdote. We stayed in the old house half way up the hill. The room was good, but a little noisy due to some machinery just outside the window. The... More

We stayed four nights at Mirissa Hills in January 2014. It is a truly unique and beautiful spot away from the hustle and bustle of Mirissa town. The facilities are excellent and the staff were very attentive and personable - organising tours and serving exceptional food! The best thing about this hotel is its private, quiet and picturesque location -... More

This is a very special place for us.We highly recommend Mirissa Hills, very private place with a panoramic view of the Weligama Bay, pleasant staff, clean rooms. The main restaurants are in close proximity, just few minutes away. Hotel has it's own transportation and can organize for you a trip to any of the sightseeing in Sri Lanka Unfortunately we... More

The view -at the top of the hill- is beautiful. However, if you book the bungalow rooms as we did- then you have a 10 min walk to the top of the hill to actually enjoy this view or use the pool. The pathway is not lit so if attempting this walk in the evening- make sure you have a... More
