My husband and I went to Elf Pension with a couple of friends. We had a great time getting outside the city and experiencing some winter splendor. Everything is foreigner friendly - most things are written in English and the staff is very welcoming. We had a blast hiking through the snowy hills and watching an awesome fireworks show in... I have been planning my Korea winter trip for over 10 months and one of the thing that we want to do is the ice fishing at Pyeongchang Trout festival. We also want to stay near Phoenix Ski park so we can do some skiing activities. Having done various researches on Pyeongchang, hotel cost is definitely the major expenses. I... More

The staff here were impeccable. They also speak great English. Couldn't have been happier with their customer service. The pictures to the hotel are magical but when we got there it was very run down. The walls are extremely thin, so you can hear every footstep from your neighbors. The zoo is not clean and the kid play area is... More

We stayed for 2 nights with 2 adults and 2 children on 22 December 2015. We took the subway to Dong Seoul bus terminal and took an express bus and then took a cab to Elf Pension. When we reached there, it was dark but simply magical! My kids were so happy and play with the snow that snowed the... More

Great Pension for families with small kids. Firework show, magic show, kids cafe with trampoline and birdseed sandbox etc, snow sledding hill, playground, and everything lights up at night. We had the smallest room and fit family of 4 just fine. Kids are 2 and 6 they slept on thick Japanese style futon on floor. Room had a princess theme... More

Stayed here for 2 nights during December. Mystical design, nice little rooms. Staffs were extremely helpful, getting me picked up from Phoenix park on check in day and getting taxi on other occasions. Expect to have simple meals or go out to eat.

I was here in December 2014. I got quite paranoid after boarding a bus from Seoul airport and got off at a small bus-stop out of nowhere. I tried to figure out how to get a cab and luckily a kind hearted, English speaking Korean helped out. The telephone number reflected on Google is not in use so we had... More

We stayed here for 3 nights while skiing at Phoenix Park. It is an interesting place more like a cabin camp than hotel. Very pretty with rather Spartan but functional apartment type rooms in alpine styled cabins. The heavy snow made it difficult to judge normal here. There are many hills & stairs and the staff was kept well busy... More

Beautiful scenic views. Blanketed in thick white snow. We had a family room with 2 big bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, kitchen, living room and huge balcony. We loved the heated floors. The heating was excellent even though it was about minus 15 degrees outside. Skiing was excellent. Ski hire place pick you up, organise ski hire and lift passes, drop... More
