We had a short visit at Fort Ilocandia to check the place if we could consider booking at the hotel on our next visit to the North. The hotel is also beautiful, the ambiance, the view. We will certainly stop, dine, have some fun at the casino and relax for a night before we proceed to the upper North. A... More

Compared to the other 5 star hotel and casino, Fort Ilocandia gives you a taste Of spanish and modern ambiance. The culture is preserved which makes it more classy and so calming to be in that hotel. The restaurants are really good and the buffet they offer in garden cafe is very good. At night the ambiance changes especially when... More

The place was GOOD-for me, because I love vintage, classic and old school ambiance. It's like stepping back to the 70's and you could even imagine yourself being in a Filipiniana Dress walking down the wooden staircase. The place wag huge and they had so many areas outside to breathe fresh air and unwind. They have a swimming pool that... More

Fort Ilocandia is famous in the North but we were able to visit the resort only at the lobby. I must say it features the Marcos family ,the first lady and Pres,. Marcos as photos are displayed at the lobby.Nothing spectacular.

This is an odd resort, nothing went wrong, staff are trying but it just feels like this hotel is stuck in 1990.Everything feels tired about this hotel, our room had a cracked sink, a bed hard like wood and although it has a fresh coat of paint, it does not hide anything. It is best to know that this hotel... More

Me and my friends stayed for 4 nights. during check-in the front office agent was nice and very attentive. the room was clean and has a very nice and relaxing aroma. everything that follows up to our check-out was nice. they treat their guests like royalties.

Fort Ilocandia is not that Luxurious as percieved by many. It is popular because it was onr of the first and biggest hotel built in Laoag. The structure is mostly made up of bricks and pathways of man-made cobble stones. Its warm and the grounds are spacious. You need to have a car going there if you don't want to... More

We stayed for 5 nights and while the resort is great, its facilities are limited. There was no effort in making our stay great and the food is well below average. I still recommend the resort for the experience but you will be left alone in this very large and beautiful property...may not be entirely bad after all but philippines... More

We stayed here for one night, and it was enough. Beach is far and not very pretty, activities are sort of perfunctory and not professionally managed, dining choices were limited and mediocre. Wish there were more info about the history of the resort (especially since it's such an interesting backstory!) but apart from the photos on the walls -- the... More

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights while waiting to go to Boracay. The hotel is well kept but it's very tired, it could do with updating as it looks like its not been done up since its been built......... The 2 pools are great!!!! The Olympic size pool is just great for your daily exercise swim and the... More
