As part of our tour package, we were booked at texicano hotel. Location-wise it is good as it is within the city proper. Hotel grounds are okay for company-related team building activities. We were also able to play half court basketball during our free time. Room however took a while to be cold at comfortable level. Sleep quality is okay... More

The place is pretty old. if you are travelling in shoe-string budget, you can consider this place. just don't the filthy reception area that smells like dog's ( i am not exaggerating but this is really true) and the not-so-accommodating staff. We asked them if we can take a shower or stay for short time and they let us pay through... More

PHP400 per night for a spacious room, good deal if you are a backpacker at heart and really don't mind what the room looks like... But let me describe the room: 1. Wider than you expected..Like a public classroom, without the chairs of course. 2. The toilet is also wide...Like a classrooms toilet...The tiles are also cheap.. 3. The ambiance... More

I went straight to the Reception Area and asked for a fan room that has a bathroom. When I got inside the room, well, the place was good enough, the floor was smooth and the CR was satisfactory. And this is the place where I spent my first night in Laoag City, for 410 pesos per night. And on the... More

Texicano hotel is just a backpackers place, no more no less. Do not expect anything except for the bare necessities -- a bed, electric fan, table, chair and a filthy old bathroom. No building maintenance, no customer service at all, so definitely no repeat business. We reserved two double-bed rooms and the receptionist said only one is available even though... More

We didn't stay at this place in the end despite being moved three times, to three different rooms. To put things short: Texicano is filthy. All the amenities (especially bathrooms) have prison-cell standard (smell, rust, dirt, spiderwebs - you name it). Still, at 470 PHP (double room with bathroom) we wouldn't expect much more. What they don't tell you though,... More

Texicano is a backpackers place to start with. So don't expect anything fancy. we got a room from their old bldg at the 2nd floor, P430 for a 2 double bed fan room which is good for 2 pax only. since we're 3, we paid another P220. we were expecting that they will put an extra bed but no they... The room was too cheap. I expected little from it. I did not realize that my expectation were yet too high for what I paid for. My room was small. The curtain was torn and unwashed for quite some time. I could not tell where the stench was coming from. My guess is from the old mattress. I felt like... More

My last day in Laoag. My bus ride back to manila is around 12pm. This is the nearest hotel to the bus station. I inquired for a room. All their a/c rooms are full. I ended up in a solo fan room with t&b. I took it. It's just a few hours anyway. I just need a place to rest... More

Since I was travelling solo and on a strict budget, I booked a single fan room with toilet (P310). It's located on the 3rd floor and it's facing a main road where endless tricycles and jeepneys pass by. The hallway was a bit creepy because there was no light. Noise from outside woke me up many times thus it was... More
