The hotel is lovely, set at the quieter end of the beach, with plenty of restaurants nearby, on the road and on the beach. We stayed in a Cabana cottage which was a large cottage, very clean and well laid out, but the air conditioning really was not powerful enough for such a large building and the ceiling fan was... We just left Amata and it was a great stay. Our room was a beach front cottage which was perfect for our family of 4. Though I would recommend putting the kids on the first floor as the stairs are quite steep. We fell asleep each night to the amazing sound of the waves crashing on the beach just footsteps... More

As with all of Myanmar, this hotel exceeded expectations. Good rooms, nice restaurant, fantastic location on the beach, and really good service. The transfer to the hotel is a little worrying because of all the road works currently going on, but once in the hotel this is soon forgotten.

This hotel is really nice but a bit overprized. We had a seaview room. Balconies a little bit small and with uncomfy chairs but overall nice decorated room. Good location right on the beach. Very good breakfast!

We arrived in Ngapali at the end of our visit to Myamar for a 5 night relaxation on the beach. We arrived without a booking and a budget that was below most of the luxury resorts along the beach. Because of the road construction we decided to try to negotiate at several of these resorts for a deal using one... More

Superb! We stayed in a Cabana cottage that was really a villa. The architecture is very smart and the privacy outside is good even though there are many cottages. Perfect for relaxing days by the sea. There is also a large pool. Free sunbeds and pool-towels are provided. Apart from a couple of nice women selling fruit on the beach,... More

Ngapali might be the most beautiful beach we've seen, and Amata is well placed to enjoy it and for a good view of the sunset. The buildings are attractively set in the palms behind the beach, and the modern wooden construction works well. We had a cabana very close to the beach. My criticism of the room was that its... What an oasis of luxury in a stunning setting. Despite visiting Burma many times, I never made time to visit the beaches on the west coast, so this year I had the opportunity and planned a week in the area. I had heard about Amata Resort from friends and was keen to see it for myself. First impressions are always... More

My wife and I stayed at the Amata Hotel for two nights in February. The hotel is on a spectacular beach and is very well done. We had a deluxe room and it was large with plenty of room to move around. The hotel restaurant is outside with beautiful views of the beach. The food is good with western dinners... More

Flawless check in, great Villa very quiet & peaceful Extremely clean beach & very good sunshades & plenty of them. Good breakfast. Good to have some locals selling fruit on the beach, just earning a few $'s but giving no hassle just good fruit, & the resort Management seem to accept this, which is good for the area.
