We spent 12 nights here at this wonderful beachside hotel. First clas staff and service everyone was so friendly from the reception staff to the gardeners. Our room was a little run down but large and comfortable. There is a great pool and bar overlooking the beach as is the restuarant. One thing that I thought was excellent and woth... More

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Amata Resort & Spa. The hotel is very nice and located in a beautiful setting, facing a stunning beach. The pool isn't huge but clean and with a beautiful view of the ocean - simply wonderful. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, but could do with some 'refreshing' - you can tell... More

Great property, great rooms, great beach. But the bar service is still in training. Seems to be the case for most places in Burma. They are still learning the ways of the West. So keep an eye on your drink order and the bill. The wifi was the worst of all 6 cities we stayed in Burma. They use a... More

Just returned from staying here for a few days. It was bliss. White soft sand and warm ocean to swim in. Hotel had great breakfasts, friendly staff and lovely rooms near the beach. Go for the delux beachfront rooms. You can't go wrong being lulled to sleep by the waves. Had a massage treatment at the spa that was one... More

Amata Resort is situated on a 2 mile wide bay of soft white sand and warm blue seas backed by swaying palms. Such an idyllic setting is undoubtedly going to influence a review and this is a good hotel but not an excellent one. In saying that this is Myanmar so you can't really compare to western standards. It is... More

A great place to unwind and relax in Ngapali. There are many beach resorts along the beach, and this one didn't disappoint. Nice spacious hotel, very good sized rooms, large bathroom area. This resort has shade on the beach with loungers. The massages are also good - we had traditional burmesse style ones. Buffet breakfast is outside, and a good... More

My husband and I booked this hotel based on the reviews here on Trip Advisor, and I can confirm that it lives up to its excellent reputation. We stayed in a superior room which was clean, comfortable and perfect for what we were looking for (a lazy few days by the beach). There was a little noise from the road... More

the resort is just perfect to relax and to recharge your batteries- if needed ;) very clean rooms and nice atmosphere, but the biggest plus is the staff! extremely nice and helpful. always with a smile, that appeared to be genuine. only downside- bar closed at 11pm, but so did all the other restaurants in the surrounding as well ;)...
