The resort is stunning - well planned, beautiful gardens, nice slice of beach overall terrific. The service was the worst experienced in Burma. Not very helpful - when asking reception on restaurant recommendations stated we don't know any - and in general, was well, snobby and aloof. The first impression was good on the eyes but not on the ears.... More

We were originally booked into the Bayview but due to poor organisation by our travel agent in London (do not use Elegant Travel!) we eventually booked in at the Amata. The reception staff were very understanding and helpful but the hotel was very full so we had to accept that we would have to change rooms - twice! We therefore... More

We stayed here after staying next door at Sandoways. The room, although close to beach, was very damp and the bathroom was both exceptionally damp and smelt of damp The mosquito net was dusty and stuffy, sheets and duvet horrible, the towels so thin that you wipe your hands and the towel is soaking!! We complained and they brought us... More

Myself and a friend stayed here after touring Myanmar and we felt like we had arrived arrived in paradise. The resort was beautifully laid out and the gardens so well maintained. Situated right on the beach with ample restaraunt space and good selection of breakfast choices. The staff were wonderful, extremely courteous and helpful. We had a ground floor room... More

The resort is in a beautiful setting, a relatively short drive from the airport. The pick up at the airport is a little chaotic but it works. The rooms are simple, spacious and comfortable although the arrangement that the wardrobe and bathroom are on a different floor to the bedroom is a little awkward. The public areas are open and... Beautiful seaside resort built in teak and fitting in perfectly in the unspoilt surroundings. Infinity pool, more thanu enough sunbeds on the beach with large umbrellas and proper tables. The rooms are large and our delux one had a full living room with large flatscreen TV (which we did mot switch on). Two for one happy hour from 6-8 waaps... More

We stayed at this hotel after a full on tour of Myanmar, couldn't fault the hotel the situation was lovely, the beaches were quiet and peaceful (I'm sure in twenty years they won"t be). We ate at the hotel at sunset and couldn't get a better setting, the food is more expensive than the restaurants outside the hotel but was... More

The location can't be faulted. Ngapali Beach surpassed all our expectations. We have been travelling around the world at every opportunity since the 1980's as hard up backpackers, yuppies and as a family and this beach is up there with the best! One of the highlights was going on a snorkelling trip (not the best ever but nice) and then... More

We stayed here for 5 nights after 2 weeks of backpacking around Myanmar, it was like landing in paradise! With our backpacks disposed of the relaxation began. We stayed in a Cabana cottage which exceeded all expectations of a cottage! This thatched two storey was extremely spacious, cool, beautifully finished & topped off with most comfortable bed! The breakfast buffet... More

This was a nice hotel in a great location on the beautiful Ngapali Beach. The room was nice enough although it was a little tired and smelt a little bit of smoke. The breakfast and other food was lovely and the sunset happy hour was great! However....We stayed over the new year period and were extremely disappointed with the disruption... More
