We loved our time at this resort. We had a sea view villa. It was a little house with the bedroom upstairs and a small garden outside with a hammock. The staff here were fabulously friendly and very helpful. We ate both in the hotel restaurant and in the restaurants on the street outside. The food was equally good at... more

I don't know that much to say about this hotel. Just a good hotel. What else you need for beach resort. See photo. The restaurant is very good (a la carte, not bufet), but so monotonely and too expensive. On the coast, an excellent restaurant (directly in pier-peninsula) with fresh seafood and much cheaper. Everything else is excellent. We visited... more

This really is a very comfortable modern place to stay with excellent staff and service. In fact the whole of our stay in Myanmar was first class and throughout the country the people deserve our patronage because they are quite simply warm and very friendly. The cabana rooms are well furnished with TV and seating area on the ground floor... more

Its a great location in a great country and a well run hotel although not branded with a chain. Service is very good and very accomodating. Housekeeping, amenities are good. However take a deluxe room on a top floor. Understand the ground floor rooms suffer from higher noise level with wood being used for top floor flooring. Food variety can... more

I have just returned from 9 nights of bliss at Ngapali Beach in Myanmar for my Christmas Holiday with my girlfriend. Ngapali is a beautiful and undeveloped beach located in the Rakhine State, and is a 55-minute flight from Myanmar's Yangon. I booked my vacation through Tamarind Travel of Myanmar, and because the country I reside in (Romania) has no... more

The hotel is in a great location on a clean sandy beach and the staff make your trip worthwhile. The accomodation is very spacious and there are cabanas which we didnt stay in but outr room was great value,... more

MY TRAVEL STYLE: I hate business hotels and strongly prefer resorts that resemble the Four Seasons, Aman, and Oberoi but try to find similar properties at lower cost. I seek out the “wow” experiences and I encourage you to view hotels I have stayed at and their respective reviews (by clicking on my name). LOCATION: Excellent. On the most beautiful... more

We were at the hotel during our month long visit to Burma and we stayed in Ngapali for 4 days at Amata. We absolutely loved the hotel, we were in cabana cottage and the hotel had only a few guests at the time of our visit. Room was very clean with wonderful staff ready to help with anything you need,... more

We stayed in a second floor room with a view of Bay of Bengal. The room was comfortable, clean, had a romantic, tropical feel. Unfortunately, my wife developed gastroenteritis while at the resort. The staff were quite sympathetic to our plight; we were given unsolicited help from the resident nurse along with some medication. Needless to say, we relied on... more

Stayed for 9 nights at the end of March. After a very entertaining plane journey from Yangon we arrived at the airport to be met by the hotel minibus. Lots of smiles and lovely bottle of cold water!! The 15 minute trip to the hotel consisted of a commentory in very good English by one of the receprion staff detailing... more
