If you want to visit the Plain of Jars, which you should, you need to stay in Phonsavon. It is a dramatically developing area, with more road construction and vast houses being built than any place I have ever visited. I'm not sure how this will work out in the future, but hopefully the real history of this area will... More

Stayed in a villa unit for two nights. The hotel is situated on top of a hill so the views are quite good and it makes for a quiet environment. Villa units are large with two rooms plus ensuite and a storage area. Yes the beds are quite hard and the breakfast buffet is quite limited but it is a... More

Considering other options in Phonsavan, and contrary to other reviewers, we found this hotel more than acceptable. We stayed here for 2 nights after the long drive from Luang Prabang. The rooms in the villas were large with a separate lounge, walk thru wardrobe/storage room (with safe, fridge, and storage) to a large double bedroom. Beds were lovely and firm... More

Contrary to some of the negative reviews we had read we were happy with this hotel. A good room with balcony overlooking the city. The safe in our room was locked on arrival, and unfortunately wasn't unlocked for us even tho we had asked. A friend in an adjoining room had a faulty hairdryer that was also left faulty despite... Stayed two nights at this hotel while visiting Plain of Jars. First the bad, hotel is in need of maintenance things falling of walls, the room needed a good clean stains in the bath and dead bugs in bathroom that were never cleaned the two nights we were there, breakfast was terrible and staff needed to be trained in all... All the reviews you read of this hotel are indeed accurate, the hardest beds you will ever experience (so don,t expect any sleep here),the restaurant staff require cooking lessons,as breakfast the first morning we stayed was dreadful so we didn't bother to eat on the second morning. We understand accomodation is limited here but some basic improvements would go along way to... It's a shame that the owners do not put in a little effort to this hotel as it has some stunning views from the restaurant/bar balcony where you can also watch the beautiful sunset. The staff are untrained (but were friendly) in basic hotel procedures and needed help with how to mix drinks, etc. The restaurant was very average with... More

Should have stayed here for two nights but thankfully our flight was cancelled so we had to leave a day early to drive to Ventiane. Disinterested staff, average food, hard beds, only one pillow even though requested another, unclean. There must be better than this close to the the Plain of Jars.

It is apparent that the owners of this hotel are not interested in maintaining their property. There were several fittings in the bathroom that were broken. It is very surprising that there is no air conditioning at this property and the televisions are very old indeed. The hotel's listing on a booking site stated it has an outdoor swimming pool... More

I would have loved to recommend this place; sadly all I can do is recommend you avoid staying here. At LAK400,000 per night it simply is not worth it - I have stayed in guesthouses costing LAK 60,000 that offered identical facilities. The good: 1) Location - good views across the valley 2) Quiet The bad: 1) Staff are hopeless.... More
