What an amazing tour Kong gave. I would thoroughly recommend anyone coming to Phonsovan to join Kong on a tour. Initially I thought the tour a little expensive but it was totally worth the money. Kong is super fun to be with, charasmatic, full of information and speak great English. He made my experience what it was! I left Phonsovan... More

The rooms are basic but very cheap, so can't really complain about that. We had no rats or bugs or literally any problems. Mr Veo (the manager) was an excellent host. He try's to get everyone involved in a few drinks around the fire and will bend over backwards to help you out. Tour was the best part, he takes... More

We loved staying here. There's a fire going all the time and the tour with Kong was great. Comforts are basic but the place is clean and good value for money. I can imagine that our trip to Phonsavanh might have been a waste of time and money if we'd gone with a different tour company, but Kong really made... More

We came here mainly for plain of jars tour as the owner came highly recommended as the best tour guide. Unfortunately it was low season, and as there was only 2 of us it would have cost 500,000 kip each. The owner did not put any pressure on us and encouraged us to try and see if any where else... This place does great tours with the best tour guide. He looks after you really well and even gets up in the middle of the night to take you to the bus! Very cheap and basic place but I would recommend it. Would have to be the best tours In town. Get a group together and have a good time

The title says it all! We stayed in one of the huts and were woken in the night by a rat touching my boyfriends hand. Resulted in us having a terrible nights sleep. Having now read previous reviews it seems the owners are aware of this problem and decided not to do anything about it. There were also no tours... More

I stayed here two nights and it was fine. The room was 50,000 kip and I found out another girl was charged 40,000 kip. So BARGAIN when you get there! The room is alright -- plywood ceiling, hard bed, drippy bathroom. There's wi-fi at least and the owner and his friends are friendly. They light a fire at night and... More

60,000 kip a night for a damp-smelling, mosquito infested, cockroach crawling, and dark room. The manager, Veo, is friendly and helpful. He does tours of the Plain of Jars as well. He can speak relatively good English and likes to have a chat over some beers by the fire in the lobby/hut. His kids are cute too. Hard to get... More

For 60,000 a night, the room itself was acceptable. Very basic, a little musty, and an open window (no glass, just a plastic sheet with gaps and curtains- cold!) We were in the new block, and did not encounter any rats. A couple we met, who had been staying there too, woke up with a rat on their bed, however.... More

I turned up at this guesthouse as I was advised that Mr Keo could organise trips of the plain of jars unfortunately when I arrived I was not part of a group so I managed to organise a tour with one of the local agents. The accomodation is pretty basic which I expected except that there were rats in the... More
