The reviews of Elephant Crossing were quite mixed but it seemed like one of the better places to stay in Vang Vieng and although it was a bit more expensive than other options, it was definitely worth it, especially after a 8 hour minivan ride from Luang Prabang! This isn't the cheapest place to stay and even at low season rates you might question the value for money considering the rooms aren't that big and show some wear and tear.
