Located on the riverside with fantastic views across the rice fields to the amazing mountains this hotel is in one of the best settings in Vang Vieng. It's a few minutes walk from the town centre set in a quiet spot. The hotel is bungalow style set in large tropical gardens. This a good place for children as there is... More

Right by the river, this hotel is a gem in the busy and touristy Vang Vieng. The rooms were very clean and spacious. The hotel was beautifully landscaped and the views simply stunning. We ate here for the 2 nights we stayed, and the food was great- We had a mixture of traditional Lao and Western food, and both were... More

Hidden away off a dirt track, parallel to the water, we walked from where we were dropped off - about 20 minutes (VIP bus from Vientiane will drop you off at the bus station, then smaller buses will drop you off at a guest house on the side of town.) We were upgraded to a riverside room- lovely! Staff were... More

Four of us (two couples) spent a wonderful weekend here. The view is spectacular, the rooms very comfortable, the garden beautiful and the hosts welcoming. Breakfast is included and although basic it's fresh and more than adequate. We thought the real Lao coffee (with sweet milk) was especially good! The daughter of the owner who speaks excellent English was particularly... More

Very comfortable bungalow room with a porch for relaxing on, viewing the Nam Song River and the hot air balloons passing over and one of our fellow travellers arriving from his kayak ride. Not a great breakfast, fortunately it was walking distance to town, because coffee was terrible.

This hotel was such a cool experience and the staff was very helpful with planning out our days and making our stay comfortable and flavorful with its location situated right off the culture thriving town or Vang Vieng. To be honest the food wasn't too good but its location made it easy to walk around and find something yummy. I... More

If you want to be close to the Mekong and hosted by a great family and team think no more than Thavonsouk. David helped me organise accommodation for our group of 22 and everything went according to plan. I'd say that the only draw back was that people who got the riverside room 1 & 2 got an older bungalow... More

My wife and I booked this via the web and paid a fair sum per day, so had higher expectations than was delivered. Rooms are good, spacious, clean and the bed comfortable. However the breakfast was very basic for this price premium location. Staff friendly and helpful. We can't put our finger on it, just that it didn't meet our... More

The resort has many different kinds of bungalows/rooms which are quite different form each other, which might explain the variety of reviews here. As previous customers have said the view from the resort is lovely but please note you won't have this view from every bungalow, only from the riverside ones. The rest of the accommodation is set on a... More

Please avoid at all costs. Evanouir a tout prix. Tres mauvais. Very poor food, took over one and a half hours to get the last person's meal. Food not as described, all italian food cold and well below any basic standards. Laoetian customers food served before ours ordered despite ordering before. Members in our group happy with laos food, through... More
