Entrance fee 2000 UGX. Decent food and drinks (beer, soda) for reasonable prices available. Beach bar. Nice place to relax. Sometimes they turn on loud annoying music but we asked them to turn it off and it was fine ;) Staff friendly but sometimes you habe to look for them. It's not very busy during the week. All in all... More

Sand beach is a lovely place for relaxing and not doing much. The beach itself is kept clean, the view is nice, quite a number of birds and, it's quiet and thus a perfect place to rest. Also good for children; there are some swings, mine loves the donkeys and monkeys (outside premises) and swimming is care-free because no bilhardzia.... More

Sand Beach is a nice getaway at Lake Nabugabo near Masaka. Not too far a drive (if you have your own car) or even a pleasant ride with a boda boda. Service is slow (count 2h at least for chapati and tea or fish and chips), but the view over the lake is very nice. The donkeys, cat and dogs... More

I have visited Sand Beach twice (in July 2011 and July 2012), once for 2 weeks and once for 3 weeks. Both trips I was with a fairly large group of people (+10), something which the staff at the resort handled extremely well. We were greeted with open arms and everything was done to make us feel as at home... More

We were booked in here by mistake as the three 'Resorts' in the area have changed names, owners and locations too frequently for guide books to keep up. First impressions were not all that good as the entrance gate was wired up and admission was protracted. However we were shown to our newly constructed bungalows which were very nicely done... More
