Awesome experience, enjoyed to bits! Very satisfied with the service, every single personnel of the hotel was very helpful and pleasant. Special thanks to Yanesh for the warm welcome and he really ensured we had a nice, unforgettable stay. Many thanks to Heera and Gawtam as well from the mini bar service! No complaints at all! This was our second (and probably not our last) time in this lovely resort. What do we love about this place?? The staff are fantastic and simply cannot do enough for you. The food at the beach restaurant is Michelin star quality. The rooms are bright, fresh and clean. The soft drinks are all branded, the local beer is good... More

We have just returned from a 13 day holiday in Tamassa, while I say 13 days it took 29 hrs for us in Northern Ireland to arrive at our destination ,therefore we spent 11 days at the hotel. While to some that will be too long for travelling but what I will say it was worth it. Right from the... More

Me and my wife visited this resort in July 2014 for a weeks time. I would like to appreciate the staff and the organization to maintain such a beautiful property first. The staff and all the people working in the resort make you feel so special as if you are the only person they all are there for. The best... More

We hd been to Tamassa from 18th to 22nd July. It was fantastic experience. Yanesh and all other staff all were professional yet caring, prompt, polite and charming. Facilities were excellent. Food was great. Themes were very thoughtful and well conceived. Had Mauritius itself not been so beautiful we would have spent all the days and nights in Tamassa itself. Tamassa... More

As an introduction to Mauritius, this was a fairly conveniently situated hotel with all amenities. Service was good in all considerations. Accessibility was not so clever, but it was remote. Loads of water sport and beach access.

I spended a great short holiday on this resort, the check in was quick, and the front office manager, Yanesh introduce himself and took care of us for our whole stay. The rooms are clean and beautiful, very nicely decorated, with a huge bathroom. We had our first lunch at the beach restaurant la playa. Where we were well welcomed... More

I am a Scottish Laird and travels the world widely. This hotel gave me peace, rest, and enjoyment. The hotel is kept well manicured from the beaches to the gardens, rooms and decour. All the staff, from gardeners, reception, entertainment organiser, wiating staff, all cannot do too much for you. Brilliant.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A new experience awaits guests at this beautiful beach hotel in Mauritius, located in Bel Ombre, on the island’s south-west coast. Tamassa, a 4-star beach hotel, stands at the end of a long avenue of mature coconut palms towering skywards. A picture postcard landscape stretches across sugarcane fields to the mountains beyond. The south-west is a beautiful part of Mauritius, with spectacular walks and drives through lush, tropical hillsides and a range of open-air activities in beautiful countryside. In front of the beach hotel, beyond the sandy beach, lies a turquoise lagoon that almost blends into the skyline. The sea air is invigorating and the ripples of the waves gently calming. Beyond, lie thousands of miles of open sea. The traditional style architecture ideally suits the tropical setting, with beautifully landscaped gardens. The buildings seem at one with the environment. The décor is breathtakingly contemporary, with clean lines and bold use of colour. The atmosphere is one of eternal youth, friendly, cheerful and enthusiastic. Tamassa is a new Mauritian experience! ... more   less
