What a wonderful experience. We were blown away by the game sighting and accommodations in the Meru. But the cooler weather of the Lewa was much appreciated. We had been spoiled at Elsa's Kopje in the Meru, and Lewa Wilderness Trails kept us on our high. Only do differently is we would spend more time here. 49 other reviews capture... More

We were met at the Lewa Downs airstrip by our guide Mwangi who drove the 4 of us in our private jeep on a safari back to Lewa Wilderness. That started a spectacular 3 days where we stayed in a beautiful 2 bedroom cottage (#10). Will and Emma Craig have built and intimate and luxurious safari camp. We were greeted... More

I was lucky enough to spend four days this month at Lewa Wilderness, the first private lodge in Kenya, and even the 30 minute drive from the airstrip turned out to be an incredible game drive as we passed elephant, white rhino, giraffe and impala. With a small detour for a Valentine's Day Bush Breakfast under a blossoming Acacia and... More

We celebrated our father 70th birthday at Lewa. Zoe, the lodge manager, suggested us a private bush dinner with camp fire and warrior dancers at the spring. All my family members had a memorial experience.

An amazing place to stay in the exclusive Lewa Conservancy. We finished our safari honeymoon here and even after staying in incredible places previously were still blown away by Lewa. Fantastic for Elephant and Rhino on drives and great views over to Mount Kenya. Staff and accommodation were top class and we were made to feel incredibly welcome. We couldn't... More

My husband and I traveled here in September 2013 for our honeymoon and had the most memorable experience ever and can't imagine what will beat this - it's been 1.5 years since we've visited and nothing has come close yet!. The Lewa team treated us a king and queen and we loved it. From our room with a private plunge... More

This was our second stop on safari (the first was samburu) and just as incredible but totally different then the first camp. The Craig Family have done an amazing job with the Conservancy and of course opening their home to visitors. The cottage view was incredible and so comfy! The fire each night made the evenings even better. The food... More

It was fabulous! The safaries, 2 times a day, driving, walking or camel ride, it was all super! The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable! The shop has a wonderfull collection of handcrafted goods. We very much admire their amazing efforts to protect and conserve the wildlife. Highly recommended!

This was our first stop on our safari, and our absolute favorite of the four lodges where we stayed. I am still remembering our two nights there and trying to figure out how we can go back and stay much longer. There is so much that makes this lodge special: 1)First and foremost, the exceptional graciousness of our hosts, Karamushu... More

What an amazing start to our three week safari adventure! In retrospect, No one in my family (husband, me and two teenagers) can imagine our visit to Kenya without our stop at Lewa Wilderness. Lewa has everything you could want in a safari destination. Since it is a conservancy and not a national park, the activities are much more varied... More

Thanks for the great review. It's particularly nice to hear how your family enjoyed all the different activities that we have on offer - the walking, horse riding, and camel riding as well as the game drives. We appreciate your point about the night drive - they can be a bit hit and miss in terms of game viewing, but... More
