We decided to stop over at Sweet waters for lunch as we continued with our game viewing at Ol Pejeta. Here the highlights; 1. The location is very good and the restaurant has a very lovely view of the water hole. It was very relaxing 2. While i didnt particularly like the food because it was only buffet available, my... Since my last visit to Sweetwaters in 2010, there has been extensive remodeling of the dining area, reception and gift shop. The dining area is much larger with a fantastic view of the water hole. The food remains as wonderful as before and the chefs always come out and greet the guests and truly seem to enjoy making sure you... More

This was our first stop on our safari including lake Nakur and Maasai Mara. Friendly staff, excellent food and a fantastic location with the waterhole next to the camp, and the view of Mount Kenya. We only stayed one night, but we could easily have made another. Excellent for a weekend. The trip up from Nairobi was also very nice,... More

We stayed at this camp for a weekend as a way of introducing our children to the beauty of nature. Our tent was spacious and comfortable. We stayed in tent 33. It was very clean. The meals were well made. The members of staff were helpful and friendly (starting with Lorna Naserian at the Serena reservation desk). The grounds surround... More

I have enjoyed a number of short visits to this wonderful place. I have nothing but positives to say and not enough time or keystrokes to share them. The setting is spectacular. Spend an entire afternoon sipping drinks from a wingback chair in the shade, watching a whole plain's worth of animals come for a drink at the watering hole... More

At looking at the reviews of Sweetwaters on trip advisor before I went my expectations were high and after staying here I can say I was not disappointed. Some the tents are starting to look a little bit run down but they are currently in the middle of replacing them with brand new ones. We stayed in tent 22 which... More

My wife and I visited Sweetwaters 15 years ago, with many fond memories. We decided to show our kids and booked 2 nights in the new tents. The new tents are certainly more spacious than the original ones, although not in front of the watering hole. Whilst lovely to have a watering hole in front of your tent, you wont... More

Although the tents are starting to look a little run down, they are in the middle of replacing them with brand new ones. The work is being done discreetly behind fenced off areas so there is no disruption to the guests. We were housed in tent 22 which is just off to the side of the watering hole. A lot... More

There’s DEFINITELY something magical about ‘Sweetwaters’ that such an abundance of wildlife come to thirstily gulp its waters. It is situated at the very edge of the waterhole and has the best location to observe and photograph animals closely. The tents have zips – there are no locks. The washroom area is separated from the bedroom by a zipped curtain.... More

Had a great time. Lots of animals at the water hole. Game drives were good with all kinds of wild life. Food was good and varied every day. Tents were comfy with hot water bottle at night. Game was plentiful and varied on the game drives
