We stayed in December. The staff was great very friendly and professional. The rooms are in very good shape. We stayed in the cottage which was worth the extra charge. Standard rooms are large and nicely finished. The food was good. The landscaped and the grounds are breathtaking. With Mount Kenya as the back drop. The animal orphanage on site... More

Spectacular grounds and elegant rooms, but given the amount of money that the hotel charges per night the service was terrible and food was mediocre. The staff were friendly and are trying hard but need some serious training to service a hotel of this calibre. We will not be returning. More

I have been to mount Kenya s c before and was expecting its reputable excellence to shine through once again. I have to say my new year's experience was terribly disappointing. The safari club sacrificed its reputation to cater for far too many people over new year's. Consequently the service was terrible- 15 minutes for a simple soda water and... More

I have been going to mount Kenya for years as it is my favourite property in east Africa. My last visit on new years was a complete disaster. We waited for over an hour just to be served dinner on new years eve. The staff was running around in complete confusion. The manager was nowhere to be found. We had... More

Lovely location, lovely gardens and nice rooms! This place does noty reflect Fairmont services at all it should be the Top resort in Kenya. There is better quality places to visit in Kenya. I was expecting Mt Kenya Safari Club to be like Fairmont Dubai. The staff have very little or no idea of Hotel services! Try ask for Tartar... More

I was there only for a day and from the moment the driver entered the gates, I knew, smelt and felt like the doors to paradise had just been opened. It is a truly incredible hotel..superb rooms, breathtaking views, beautiful expansive grounds and 7 star service. It is arguably Kenya's best hotel. Keep it up! More

We rally enjoyed Mount Kenya Safari Club staying in a William Holden Cottage. Great view of Mt. Kenya and the gardens of the Club. Good staff apart from some of the assistant manager. The one in the restaurant was rude. From my point of view they have far too many managers over there. They have to look into their food... More

Beautiful place, set on expansive beautiful grounds! It's about 3 hours from Nairobi, pricey, but when you get there, you can see why. The rooms are well done, they have a fireplace (it gets awfully cold because of proximity to Mount Kenya, rains a great deal too) They also, very discreetly place water bottles in the beds in the evening.... Congratulations to Fairmont. Unfortunately we only stayed for 1 night and wished we had booked for longer. From the moment we arrived at Mt Kenya Safari Club, we were thoroughly blown away by its beauty, history and level of service from all the staff. The rooms are huge (including the bathroom) with extremely comfortable beds. Our room also had an... More
