The hotel is located in a very nice location in Nanyuki town. The new block overlooking the swimming pool is the place to stay. The rooms are very spacious and clean. You will enjoy hot water and free internet. The outside gardens are very beautiful and well kept. The food is good and especially lunch.

I have seen some bad reviews about the rooms not being up to par with people's expectations. The thing i realized was that in this hotel you are better off booking rooms in the newer blocks because they are way better than ones from the older blocks.Personally i stayed in the block near the swimming pool n it was simply awesome.The... Whilst the hotel is conveniently located and the staff friendly, the old one bedroom block which I slept in last night needs a complete overhaul. Leaking and dirty bathroom, worn out towels, dirty/musty old carpets, no switches on the wall (one has to unplug the tv cable to charge the phone), poor WiFi connection in the room etc I would... The large hotel has a great location in Nanyuki town. The positives: good mattress; clean; spacious room and bathroom; lovely garden; one helpful staff member. The rest: hot water was not available until about 6p.m. after which it was fine and plentiful; the free internet that was to be available in all rooms was down; the florescent light over the... This is a okey hotel, very friendly staff, but the staff manager is not so friendly. So dont mind him. Hard to get on the wifi, and we had to wait a very long time for the dinner. Got me into a bad mood. Luckily we only stayed her for two days.

Me and two of my friends were booked into the hotel for two nights through our safari company. The room we got was run down, the wallpaper was patched, so was the bedding. The bathroom was really dirty- especially the floor and toilet. In one of the two bedrooms the water was leaking through when it was raining and we... More

Visited this hotel on the 31st May with a group of friends and stayed at the cottages. The hotels premises were well spruced up and being a long weekend the place was packed to capacity. The evening entertainment was good both at the bar and disco. In the morning hundreds of guests met for breakfast and being among the last... More

The Sportsman's Arms is a hotel/overlanding campsite. I was traveling with a group, so we camped out back, but a friend of mine got a room. As a campsite, it was pretty amazing. There was a beautiful pool and a gym to work out in. The camping was on a lovely grass field and they had an ablutions block with... More

Forced to stay here due to my own poor planning, I would normally have gone for something a little more salubrious. The room wasn't too filthy (although the bathroom had not been properly cleaned, grubby tiles) but it did smell of stale cigarette smoke. The bed was actually quite comfortable and once I got used to the sound of passerby... More
